J. (Bud) Newcomb, Jr. Mr. Newcomb is a graduate of North Liberty High School and Purdue University School of Pharmacy. He’s married to the former Donella Kurzhal. They have three children; Chris, Laura and Sarah. Mr. Newcomb has been employed in retail pharmacy since 1943. He is a former president of the St. Joseph Co. Pharmaceutical Association and is currently a member of the board of directors of the county association. Mr. Newcomb is also a member of the Indiana Pharmaceutist Association and the American Pharmacy Association. It is with justifiable pride that we welcome to our staff at Jacob durgs a person of Mr. Newcomb’s ability and professional integrity. D □ OBITUARIES □ a Mrs. Mary Ann Lindsley Mrs. Mary Ann Lindsley, 89, of 54800 Lucille Avenue, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday in Pine Lake Division Hospital, LaPorte, after a brief illness. She was born on September 10^ In Starke County, residing in South Bend for the last year. She had spent most of her lifetime in Walkerton She was married on May 8, 1897, in Cass County, Michigan to John D. Lindsley, who died on February 2, 1941. Surviving are a son, Raymond of Niles; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Shidaker of South Bend and Mrs. Hazel Theurer of LaPorte; 31 grandchildren and 84 great-

grandchildren. Friends may call till noon Thursday in the Nusbaum Funeral Home, Walkerton. Services will be held at 3 pm. Thursday (today) (EDT) in the Wakerton United Methodist Church, where friends may call prior to the funeral. Rev. Harold E. Wiliams, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. She was a member of the church. Charles L Laiber Charles L. Laiber, 52, of route 3, Walkerton, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a brief ilness. Born June 9, 1918 in South Bend, he lived here until he moved to Walkerton seven years ago. On September 4, 1939 in South Bend, he married Anne Weger, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Laiber; two brothers, Steve and Joseph: and a sister. Mrs. Walter (Mary) Lula, all of South Bend. The rosary was recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. by memebrs of the Legion of Mary. Services were conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church by Rt. Rev. Msgr. John S. Sabo, pastor. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Laiber was a supervisor at the Torrington Co., Bantam Bearing Division, where he had been employed 31 years. He was a member of the Torrington Social Club, and a Navy veteran of World War 11. Mrs. Laura Henry Mrs. Laura S. Henry, 72, route 3, Plymouth, was found dead at her home at 4 p.m., Tuesday. August 11. The time of death was estimated at sometime Mon- ‘ day. She was born October 14. 1897 at LaPaz to Jonathan and Amelia Burlingcort Sheneman. Mrs. Henry was married October 4, 1938 at Plymouth to Charles Henry, who preceded her in death in 1952. Survivors include four sons: James K. Kiemendorf, Melrose, Park, Illinois; Ross Zlemdorf of Mishawaka; Gale E. Henry and Charles D. Henry, both of Plymouth; one dughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Woolley, Naples, Florida; one brother, Fred Sheneman, North Liberty; one sister, Mrs, Dora O'Brien, Naples, Florida; and 10 grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial was at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Mm. Fannie Reeder Mrs. Fannie Reeder, 78, of 601 Ohio Street, Walkerton, died at noon Wednesday, August 12 at
the E St. Division Hospital in LPorte aftod an extended illness. She was born July 23, 1892, in Walkerton, and lived here all her life. She was married September 15, 1915, to Robert Rex Reeder in South Bend. He died in 1964. Surviving are three sons, Robert Rex, Jr., South Nashua, New Hampshire, Roger Eugene, Arleta, California, and Roy Paul, Santa Calra, California; 14 grandchildren; one great-grand-child; three brothers, Leonard Beaty, Walkerton, Orren Beaty or Las Cruces, New Mexico, and William Beaty of Mulino, Oregon, and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Hahn, Walkerton Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Walkerton with Rev. Harold E. Williams, pastor officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Walkerton.
