Sunday callers of Mrs. Carrie Hawblitzel were Gertrude Sheneman, John Bickel, Mrs. Mable Golden, Mrs Emma Wood and Mrs. Ruth Clark and Luanne. The National Conference of First Brethren Church will meet from August 17-23 at Ashland, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Roush returned home Sunday from Pennsylvania after spending several days there. They attended a reunion of the Bth Division of World War 11. Pastor and Mrs. Kenneth Bennett and family and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roush recently visited Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Howell at Gwinn. Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Reasor of South Bend called on the latter’s sister, Mrs. Otto Kurzhal on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Melvin Summers and daughter. Dorothy Dean of Miami. Florida entertained seventeen neighbors Vn their home last Friday afternoon from 2 until 4:80 p.m with dainty refreshments being served by Dorothy Dean and her friend Hilda Sherwin of Bloomington. All enjoyed a pleasant afternoon. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Foreman and son. David, were the former's sisters, Mrs. Richard Gardner, Sr., of Austin. Minnesota, Mrs. George Baughman of Mishawaka. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. John Baughman. Miss Jean Baughman and Mrs. Richard DeCrane and sons of Mishawaka. Pvt. Nathan Clark of Havasu City, Arizona left Saturday for Vietnam. Nathan is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clark, North Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Foreman of South Bend, who were recently married, have returned from a trip to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Canada and the Wisconsin Dells. Earl Eldred is a patient in the E Street Division Hospital, LaPorte. Mi\ and Mrs. John Schultz and family returned home from a three week vacation trip. They visited in Nebraska, the World Gorge and the Air Force Academy along with seeing Disneyland.

Mrs. Carrie Hawblitzel is now home from Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mis. Ronald O Dell of Cincinnati!, Ohio, spent last week with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Geyer of Pine Road, North Liberty. Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Wharton and Mrs. Nellie Smith visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wharton at the Flora Brethren Home on Sunday. Mrs. Harry Schopp of Dayton, Ohio, visited her aunt, Mrs. Bertha Schrader last Thursday. Mrs. Eva McEndarfer, sister of Harley Mangus, is a patient in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Doan recently returned from a trip to Spartanburg, South Carolina. They visited Mrs. Doan’s sister and husband. Mr. and Mrs Harold Bryant and granddaughters, Lisa and Elene Doan accompanied the Doan’s on the trip. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fults of Lake of the Woods and Mrs. Gertrude Sheneman visited Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Laidig and baby daughter in Indianpolis last Thursday. They also visitted Clarence Bickel at the Veterans Hospital in Marion.

Mrs. Melvin Summers returned home recently from Memorial Hospital following knee surgery where she is convalescing. Mr. and Mrs. William Doan and family are spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Doan and Mr. and Urs. Robert Rauen. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor called on Mr. and Mrs. Frank Demske in South Bend last Wednesday. Mr. Demske’s mother, whose home is in Florida, had been visiting them and celebrated her lOOtik birthday recently.
