Walkerton. and Audrey Page, Mill Cie^k. were among the sixteen Laßmte High School students wh^ left LaPorte August 3 for a three week tour of Europe as pat? of the Cultural Education PrdHram known as ' Ambassabm.® Abroad.' Xbese students are part of a large national and international cubital tour program that takes high school age students through Emppe. giving them an opportunity to acquaint themselves wiA the history, government and culture of European continental cotyitries. ^hey will visit the Netherlands. West Germany. Austria. Italy. Switzerland, Frame and Belgium. The group will see such European cutural centers as Amsterdam. Cologne. Munich Venice, Mialn. Pisa, Berne. Paris and Brussels. In order to give the students the chance to experience average life in these countries, they wilt be staying in small towns and villages such as Arnheim, Netherlands,; Heppenheim and He delburg. Germany: Mestre, Vet on and Domodossla, Italy and Macon and Nevers, France. Students will also have an opportunity to come in contact with foreign students and villagers and dine on average European cuisine during their stay.
