She received highest honors in a class of 576 members and received a bronze plaque with her name engraved on it. Mrs. Hostetler is the former Sharon Price, who with her husband, resides in Iselin, New Jeresy. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Puce, 103 N. Washington Street, North Liberty.

FEA NEWS The John Glenn Chapter of Future Fanners of America had one of their summer meetings last Thursday, July 16. It was the first meeting for the new officers, which are: President, Steve Hurford; Vice Piesident, Joe Van Wanzeele; Secretary, Greg Carroll, Treasurer, Daryl Bowers; Sentinel, Ed Miser; Reporter, Jon Smith; Parlimentary, Jeff Marquardt. The FFA is going to bail straw for a money making project on Joe Van Wanzeele's farm. If you want straw, contact Joe. Our FFA chapter is playing other chapters in softball for recreation. Our next meeting will be August 13, 1970. Jon Smith, Reporter 4-H NEWS The Cooks in the Kitchen 4-H Club held their final meeting at the John Glenn Home Ee. room July 11 with Lennie Smith, Jr. leader, giving a demonstration on baking cookies. Phe first year foods exhibited drop cookies and the scond year exhibited a butter cake. Lynn Warner, Debbie Lauderback and Mary Ann Freeman will exhibit a baked custard for a Dairy Council. Six Attend Cheerhading Camp A capacity group of 720 vivacious high school and junior high school cheerleaders were at Vincennes University last week for the final session of the annual workshop instructed by the National Cheerleaders Association. Os the 126 schools represented at the conference. 95 are located in Indiana. The other squads come from Illinois (16), Ohio (9),

Kentucky and Missouri. 'Die three largest groups number 13 team members each and come from Fairfield, 111 nois Junior and Senior High School, Bullitt High School of Shep, dsville, Kentucky, and South Adams High School of Berne. Members of the team :om John Glenn High School in Walkerton are: Debbie Wilson. Jill Carbiener, Jacquie Tiede, Diane Strang, Sue Lowry and Barb Drake. is required by not later than Thursday, August 13th.
