Mrs. William Springman who recently returned home from Memorial hospital after having surgery, was happy to receive so many rememberances from her friends. Miss Julie Vernon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Vernon of Westerville, Ohio has been guest of her grandmother, Mrs, Pauline Moriis the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Schultz, Mishawaka, called on the former s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz of North Main Street on Sunday. Twenty-nine friends enjoyed a Mrs. Harold Geyer, Clarisse and Guida Whiteleather were recent visitors of Esther Harman. Mr. and Mrs. Travis Holmes, Kari and Michael were recent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rauen. The Over Sixty Club will meet with William Buchtel at his cottage at Lake of the Woods on Wednesday. July 8. A picnic is planned, so meet at the North Liberty Community Building at 11 a.m. and it is pot luck. Bring a covered dish and hamburger or wiener buns also own table service. Mrs. Robert Jackson and Mrs. Alan Kaser returned home recently from Carlsbad, California after visiting their mother, Mrs. Edna Schrader who was in the hospital due to a heart ailment. Kilmer and Professor M eCarol Sheldon of Milsap College, Jackson, Mississippi, Mrs. Russel Kilmer and Mrs. Alice Person. Monticello. Professor Kilmer is the son of the late Rev. Russell Kilmer former pastor of the North Liberty < hirstian church. It was a very happy reunion for Oscar and Donald as they hadn’t seen one another for 23 years. The party and the newlyweds toured St. Mary’s College. Holy Cross Junior College. University of Notre Dame and other scenic spots in the South Bend-Mishawaka area.
Mrs. Esther Harman had the pleasure of a visit with her nephew, Harmon Hawblilzei from Durate, California last Tuesday evening. The WMb of the First Brethren Church will be having a picnic on Thursday, July 9 and will meet at the church at 8 a.m. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Doan were Mrs. Lewis Johnson and Barbara of Rochester and Mrs. Harry Johnson and Pam of Mentone. The annua! Olive Branch School Reunion was held at Sheneman’s Grove on June 25 with nineteen members and seven children enjoying a fellowship dinner. Officers were elected for 1971 as follows; president Mrs. Thomas Haskins; vice-president, Mrs. Anna Graf, secretary and treasurer Mrs. LaRue Donathen. The 1971 reunion will be held at the home of Mrs. Herb Schlarb on Osborne Road, Lakeville. The James Erving family of Kern Road, South Bend, entertained relatives in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Erving of Tampa, Florida.
