Mrs. Earl Ward and her father Mr. A L. Dupler spent Sunday in Fort Wayne visiting Miss Mildred Bowman and other relatives. Koontz Lake Conservation club meeting at the club house Saturday evening beginning with a potluck supper at 5:30 CDT followed by a social hour. Mrs. G. Pfeiffer and Mrs. Jack Long are hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rosenkrans of Knox entertained Saturday with a 6:00 o'clock dinner to celebrate the 32nd wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pogodzinski. Urbin and Mrs. Carl Smith of Kewanna The afternoon was spent playing bridge and visiting. Word has been received here Sunday by the family friends of Mr. and Mis. Marvin Stahly who have been spending the winter in Lake Placid, Florrida that Mr. Stahly is in the hospital in Sebring with eight broken ribs incurred from a fall out of an orange tree while picking oranges The latest report is that he is making satisfactory recovery. Mrs. Stahly is staying with Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe in Sebring while he is recovering. PINK AND BLUE SHOWER Mrs. James L Baughman, Route 1, Walkerton, was the guest of honor at a pink and blue shower Sunday afternoon, given by Mrs. Alan Bell, Teegarden at the Bell home. The room was decorated in pink and blue with a blue umbrella on the gift table. Games were played with the prizes going to Mrs. Kenneth Reed and Mrs. Harold Ruby. Mrs. Russell Baughman won the door prize. Other guests present were Mrs. Delcie Holderread, Mrs. Dean Holderread, Mrs. Othel Holderread, Mrs. Richard Holderread, Kathy Fries, Linda Holderread, Patty Roush, Mrs. George Roush, Lakeville, Mrs. Richard Reed and Kay, Michigan; Mrs. James Reed, Mrs. Joe BatTghman, Mrs. Bob Reese and Patty. Mrs. Don Gurthet, and Mrs. Wayne LaFollette and Lisa. Refreshments of blueberry supreme, cherry’ supreme, punch and coffee were served to the guests. Mrs. Baughman, the former Vickie Ann Holderread, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Holderread received many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Marcelien VanWanzeele entertained at dinner on Monday evening, April 27 for Mr. and Mrs. James Ziegler of Georgetown, Texas. Mrs. George Hillis spent several days the past week in Indianapolis attending the State Convention of the Federation of Woman's Clubs at the Lincoln Hotel, and visiting her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Land. James David Ashcraft, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Richardson, route 2, Walkerton, was honored during the April 19 graduation requirements for the BS in Education degree with a major in art in August. He is a 1965 graduate of North Liberty High School. Janice S. Hartsough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russ?ll Hartosugh, route 3, Walkerton, has recently been named to the Indiana University chapter of Alpha Lamba Delta, freshman scholastic honorary for women. Janice has earned a b-plus or better 1 grade average the first semester while carrying at least 13 hours. Mrs. James Verkier, Mrs. John ' McCombs. Mrs. Newton Williams, Mrs. Mary Bauer and Mrs. Robert Gardner attended the produc- ' tion of South Pacific, presented ' by the South Central High School Chorus and Drama Club, Friday evening. May 1. Mrs. Gardner's neice, Miss Cheryl Gardner, played the lead role of Ensign Nellie Forbush. Sold out in advance for two performances is not unusual for any group under the directorship of Music Director, Mrs. Ruth Greiger, who has for many years past given this area outstanding performances. ATTENDS SESSION IN IN IDI A NAPOLIS Dr. Bryce Rohrer attended the annual Scientific Session of the Indiana academy’ of General Practice in Indianapolis on April 15. Physicians from Boston, Rochester, Minnesota. Louiseille, and Indianapolis spoke at the meetings. Mrs. Rohrer accomp mied him. The wives enjoyed a tour of Indianapolis and lunch at the Cabinet. In the evening Dr. Henry Johnson gave an interesting talk on "How to be Happy Though Married.”

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Meyer of New Carlisle were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McKesson. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McKinney of Tipton, were week end visitors of their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stockwell. Miss Deborah Moore was home for the weekend visiting her parents and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore. Deborah is attending the Lear Sigler School in Indianapolis. Westhues-Heil Exchange Vows Last Wednesday Wedding vows were said by Miss Betty Westhues, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Westhues, Route 2, Walkerton, and Wally Heil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heil, 1004 Harrison Street, Walkerton, Wednesday morning, April 29th in the St. Patrick Church in Walkerton. The Rev. Father Anthony Letko officiated at the double ring service at 9 o’clock. The bride wore a mini length dress of lavender crepe, designed and made by herself. Her bridesmaid, Miss Sharon Spencer of De Kalb, Illinois, wore a similar styled and color dress. They both wore corsages of lavender tipped white carnations. Mike Westhues, brother of the bride,

served as best man. < Mr. and Mrs. Westhues served a brunch in their home following the ceremony for the newly wedd and house guests of the Westhues. A reception for friends and relatives was held at Heil's dining room at 7 p.m. A buffet supper was served. The bride’s table was decorated in lavender and white and was centered by a three tiered cake decorated in lavender flowers. Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Ralph Dixon, Walkerton. Both Mr. and Mrs. Heil are graduates of John Glenn High School. He is employed at Walkerton Tool and Die Mfg. Co. and she at Wagnors Industries at Plymouth. They are at home on Route 2, where they have purchased a home.
