□ Q OBITUARIES □ Q Dr. Charles L. Geyer Dr. Claude L Geyer, 77, of 132 S. Scott Street, South Bend died at 6:25 a.m. Friday in Healthwin Hospital alter an illness of eight months. Dr. Geyer had practiced denistry in South Bend for ninny years until his illness. He was a staff dental surgeon at Memorial Hospital for many years, and served as president ot the South Bend Board of Health during Mayor Pavey's administration. He was a member of the St. Joseph County and Indiana State Dental Associations. He was r veteran of World War I, having served as a dentist. Born April 18, 1893 at North Liberty, he earned his D.D.S. at Northwestern University and came to South Bend in 1915. On October 15, 1920 at Rochester, Indiana, he married Retha Pratt, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William A Carleton of South Bend, and Mrs. John H. Winant of Williamstown, Masscahusettes; five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. J. Oare of South Bend. Funeral services were held Monday by Rev. Daniel W. Fowler, DD.; pastor of the Fist Presbyterian Church of which Dr. Geyer was a member. Burial in North Liberty Cemetery. Mrs. Berton J. Kiplinger Mrs. Mary Alice Kiplinger. 87. of 1206 Cedar Street, died at 11:05 p.m April 24 in her home after a two-year illness Born April 26. 1882. in Crumstown. she had lived here 67 years, coming from North Liberty. On June 26. 1907, she was married to Berton John Kiplinger in South Bend. He died in 1942. Surviving are five daughters. Mrs. Alpha LaMar. Mis. June Huber. Mrs. Ellen Jeffries and Miss Lois Kiplinger all of South Bend, and Mrs. Mary Grace Dunn of Beach Grove, Indiana: eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and two sisters.
