It not only gave us the lowest delinquency rate (thus, lowering taxes; m<t to war, crime and delinquency is the most expensive) but also national and international recognition Every child was treated with the same philosophy as my own sons, during the years they went through high school, college, and law schools. 1 desire to establish similar preventitive programs under the authority of a Delinquemy Prevention Commission to restore law and order. With GOOD citizens we will have GOOD government. This can be done as I stated m my book, ‘'Delinquency. There is an Answer," problems created by man. The father of our Country, George Washington, said to the loyal Americans, "Put none but patriots on guard tonight." Today. our beloved American seems to be experiencing the same darkness in so far as our Constitutional Government is concerned, so I repeat, put none but patriots in government. Yours truly, John S Gonas Democrat for State i Senator DEN 1 PACK 293 NEWS The opening was led by Quinn Hochstetler and his cousin Todd Stuntz, who was our guest at the Friday night meeting of Den 1 of Pack 293. Roll call was answered with each one acting like they were using any kind of tool and we had to guess what it was. Mr. Leigh Roy Hahn then showed the group how to use a brace and bit and screwdriver. Following the meeting we practiced a skit and played games Refreshments of angle food cake was served and made for the group by Mrs. Vestal Sloane, who wanted to do something for the den. The boys really enjoyed the cake. We gave the Grand Howl and also said good-bye to Conrad Kriskovsky who will be going into the Webeloes on Friday evening.
Leadership Development Workshop A Leadership Development Workshop on Smoking Health Education will be offered to all concerned persons on April 10th. and 11th The program is aimed at teachers, nurses, health leaders, and others who will be guiding young people concerning smoking and its effects on health. One (1) hour of graduate or undergraduate credit can be earned, however those who do not want University credit are welcome to attend. A $15.00 reinbursment toward the Univerfee will be paid by the sponsoring agencies. The workshop win ne neld at the Indiana University South Bend Campus, 1825 North Side Blvd., South Bend. The Friday (April 10th) session begins at 4 pm (EST) and ends at 10 p.m. Saturday s session starts at 9 am. and closes at 3:30 p.m. Arrangements for dinner and lunch can be made. The Friuay program features talks by Harold Levine, M D Hester Beth Bland. H.S.D., and Vincent Grnanell, Ed. D. Dr Levine is Chief. Chest Medical Service, Cook County Hospital, Chicago. Dr. Bland is the Health Education Consultant for the Indiana State Board of Health. Dr. Grannell serves as the National Director of the Leader-
