Janet, Julie and Jim Ryan were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brown of route 1. Walkerton are the parents of a son born on March 9 in Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bandendistel entertained with a birthday party on Sunday. March 8 at their home with three birthdays being celebrated. VERONICA IS ONE A pot luck supper was held on Sunday, Mach 8 by Mr. and Mrs. David L Clark in honor of their daughter. Veronicas first birthday. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Clark and Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clark. Mrs. Clara Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Albert N Huhnke. Linda and Cindy. Mr. Albert Hunhke, Mrs. Marvin Baker and Denise. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kaiser and James Carey. Fun was nad by all and Veronica received many lovely gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Russel Lawrence returned home from a two month stay in Florida where they visited various places on both coasts. Callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dill on Sunday afternoon were Mrs. Lester Wade, Mrs. H. Shidler and son of Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Di pert celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on Monday evening. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Dipert of Walkerton, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dipert of Kingsbury and Judy. Melvin. Fad Terry Dipert were also guests. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly arrived home after a two week stay in Florida. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kerchaert and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stahly in Lake Placid. They did some fishing and sight seeing and the stopped at Homestead, Florida and the Keys. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Frailey returned home Sunday from a three weeks vacation in Florida. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell, Mrs. Fra i ley's sister in Melbourne. Florida, her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rans at Mt. Dora, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruff of South Bend flew to Florida to join her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frailey for a two week stay and they all returned home on Sunday.

Arthur J. Borrelli Jr. A family, Walkerton, have been elected to membership in the American Angus Association at St. Joseph, Missouri, according to Lloyd D. Miller, executive secretary. Rev. and Mrs. Harold Williams vacationed for two weeks in Florida recently. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stahly and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kerchaert at Lake Placid, then they took a trip to the Keys and other places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shinn came home on Friday after a three week vacation in Florida. They stayed at Homestead and also Key West. They called on the Floyd Browns and Nick LaFebers while at Homestead. Their sun tan is proof of a nice and relaxing vacation. Master Cameran Clark was honored at a birthday party on Sunday afternoon. Carmeran was one year old and his guests were Mr. and Mrs. Al Drews, John and David Drews, Mr. and Mrs. Warner Clark, Mrs. Lee Zumbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith of Granger, Stephen Smith and guest, Mr. John McKay of Wisconsin, Sue Fritter of Plymouth and Sharon Knowlton. Ice cream and cake with punch was served by his mother Mrs. Gary Clark. A few of the Walkerton folks who have been vacationing in Florida had a get-to-gether on February 25 and had dinner together at the Tower Restaurant in Lake Placid. They were honoring Doc Wolfe whose birthday was on February 26. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. McLacklin of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kerchaert, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bierly, Harry Doll, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Finch of Hanna. Mrs. Fred Spier, Mrs. Velma Stahly, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stahly, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Smith. Mr and Mrs. J.D. Knowlton and Richard, Rev. and Mrs. Harold Williams and Doc and Mrs. Wolfe.
