Mrs. Jan Pannell and family went to Flint, Michigan to visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Perkins and family were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lamberson of LaPaz. Sam Weldy, Ruth Stauffer and Miss Mariam Wesley from Wakarusa were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Loucks. Mr. Simon Lenon and children were Sunday evening guests of Mr .and Mrs. Bob Balsley 0-1 family. The Lenon's are from the Grand Rapids Baptist Bible Semanary. COUPLE TO OBSERVE 50th ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Howard Moon, 24600 Ind. 4, North Liberty, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home Sunday. TYiey were married April 19. 1919. Mr. Moon, who is retired, taught in St. Joseph County Schools for 50 years. The couple has four daughters, Mrs. David Bjoraas Os South Bend, Mrs. Russell Morris of ktdianaprdis, Mrs. William Wells of Lorain. Ohio, and Mrs. John Summer of North Liberty. Friends and relatives have been invited to attend the open house. THE OVER SIXTY CLUB MEETS "The Over Sixty Club" met April 9th with 23 present. The theme of our program was "Growing Flowers". Mr. Richard W’hitmer showed slides o' flower gardens and scenic interests taken tn Florida and of their own green house here in North Liberty. Also shown was a film “The Gardening Game" by Rev. Bennett. Oki time favorite songs were sung and enjoyed by all. Devotions and Scriptural poems were given by Pauline Morris. Refreshments served by Mrs. Harry Clark and Mrs. Walter Strope. , Our next program will feature St. Joseph County Agricultural Agent. Dwight Miller speaking on "Tips on Vegetable Gardeners." We welcome any one to our Over Sixty Club which meets April 23.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Blad and Miss Elaine Blad were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Blad of Osceola. Indiana. Mrs. Margaret Butler and daughter Cheryl of South Bend were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wolfram. ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Trugg, Bismarck, North Dakota, announce the engagement of their daughter. Aidyce, to Ernest Kreider, Route 1, Lakeville, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kreider. Miss Trugg graduated from Bismarck High School, and Valley City State College. Valley City, North Dakota. She is employed by the South Bend Community School Corporation as an art teacher in the North Liberty schools. Mr. Kreider graduated from Twelve Mile High School and now farms west of Lakeville. A June 22nd. wedding has been planned. NL FFA Chapter Plans Auction Sale Saturday The North Liberty Future Farmers of America will have an Auction Sale and a Slave Auction on Saturday, April 18, starting at 10:30 CST. The sale will be held at the McCormick Farm. one-half mile east of North Liberty on State Road 4. William Sehmidlapp, advisor of the FFA Chapter, has organized the chapter into an active group that is making this sale a big event. Many items o' both used and new will be available from farm equipment to household items. The sale will commence with some small items, then 29 hard working "slaves" wall go on the block. Tire larger equipment will follow. The people donating items to be sold on commission will have the right to withdraw if the prices aren't coherent with the item. Other items are donated for outright sale. The Chapter is also still taking items which can be accepted by either contacting Mr. Sehmidlapp or the high school. AH proceeds of the day will go

Terre Haute. Rev. Father O'Brien officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. ErviHe C. Kuecher, Rt. 2, Walkerton, and Mr. an 1 Mrs. Louise O. Gieselman, of Winsor, Ind. The bride wore an A-line gown of white crepe with bell sleeves and a circle train. Rose appliques accented the gown and train. A bow headpiece held her floor length veil, which was also trimmed with the appliques. She carried a single white rose. Miss Kathy Sue Theis, Walkerton, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Paulette Kennedy and Miss Sue Buttistond. They wore A-line gowns with cap sleeves fashioned o' turquoise crepe. Their headpieces were matching bows.
