Tri Kappa Meets In Walkerton Mrs. Cari Christensen discused the forthcoming style show, “Fashion Fiesta” which will be held March 20 at the John Glenn Auditorium, Walkerton at a meeting of Epsilan Chi chapter oi Kappa Kappa Kappa Thursday evening in the home of Mrs. John Powell. The annual style show is the main means of raising monies for the scholarship fund so all members were urged to sell their tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door that evening. All the committees have been hard at work this past month coordinating with Levine s of LaPorte, who will show the fashions. Vanilla was distributed by Mrs. Kenneth Klinedinst and Mrs. Robert Bauss to each member to sell as a Mental Health project this year, rather than having the usual bake sale. Mrs. Wayne Burch reported on an Antique Show which Tri Kappa will sponsor during the Walkerton Summer Festival to be held June 5. G and 7th. Refreshments were served by; Mrs. Powell, assisted by Mrs. Harlan Kepcha and Mrs. Denslow Doll. New 4-H Projects Now Offered In St. Joseph County St Joseph County boys and girl> fourteen to eighteen years of age are urged to participate in two brand new 4-H pmjects in 1969. Enrollment is now being taken for the new 4-H Veterinary Science project and the 4-H Grooming and Personal Appearance project. Four county-wide meetings will be held for the Grooming hjtJ Personal Appearance project, beginning on Tuesday, February 25th. Participants will take part In activities centering an>und selection of clothing, color coordination. care and construction of clothes, dating problems, and tips on being well groomed. Both a Beginning and Advanced Divishm are being offered. Meetings will lie held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company, 220 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, on February 25, March 4, 11 and 18. Exploration of the field of veterinary medicine as a career and learning more ab >ut animals will oe the central topics considered in the eight weekly sessions of the 4-H Veterinary Science project. Veterinarians frvm LaPorte, Marshall, St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties will be conducting the meetings. Meetings will be held at the St. Joseph County Civil Defense Center, 23170 Irvington Avenue, South Bend, at 7: 30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, January 29th.
