"The entire Walkerton Community wms shock* 1 earl} Tuesday morninh when they learned us the sudden and untimely death of Dr. C. D. Linton . . . "No doctor was more kind and cond lerate and understanding of h:s patients and their ill,', than he. He knew no bounds of time and place, no limits of weather <r social standing, race or creed t< cause any delay nr k '% effort on hi- part, to minister t . the II! of the people of the community. Often times, it was known, he put forth an effort to seo hi patients when he himself was in more need of a physician than they. A number of pers n- expressed their desire tn contribute to and establish a Memorial Fund in the name of Dr. C. D Linton. A meeting was ( ailed, all (lubs, organizations and group- of this community were asked to have a representative present and a committee was selected to take charge of contributions. The family of Dr. Linton decided to have a health room at the elementary school furnished in his name which was done. Later, when plans for the John Glenn facility were being made, Mrs. Linton consented t • have a more complete and modem health center furnish* 1 in the new complex. Walkerton She is a graduate of Walkerton High School and the South Bend College of Commerce. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mis. Charles Widner, 4801 Meadow Lane, is a graduate of Washington High School. White p*m d*‘ s- !r formed the gown worn by the bride. The Ahoe skirt was complemented with an Em pi e bodice covert i with Chantilly lace with a waist band of appliqued lace. The neckline featured a rolled collar and a large back how. The gown had elbow length lace sleeves and a chapel train. A he-adpiece (X lace trimmed with a peau de soie bow seemed the bride's three tiered blusher veil. She carried a cresent bouquet r>f white mums. Mi- Janet Holdemnn, Walkerton, was her si tor's m ild of h nor. She wore a red velveteen gown with n A-hne skht and an Empire badice accented with a red satin waist band and front bow. The sleeves featured white Maribou trim. She wore a matching Maribou hat.
