Shamrocks Meet Two Opponents The N '’h Liberty Shamrocks Will play twice again this week end with two very formidable opponents. On Friday night, a home game will be held with Wakarusa visiting the Shamrocks. Saturday the game will be played at Akron against the Akron Flyers. Both games are scheduled for action to begin at 6:15 due to the time deference. Both t>f these teams have winning records this season. Basketball For Everyone At JGHS Tuesday Basketball . . . from 4th and | sth gi iders right through to good Independent style, and the gal included, will be featured at the John Glenn High School on Tuesday, February 11. This program of basketball is sponsored by the PLJ Athletic Boosters, an organization that has supported the athletic program in the PLJ school district and also furnished the fan buses to away baskett a games. The evening's entertainment will begin at 7:15 with teams made up of the local fourth and fifth graders competing in om game, the GAA and PLJ Women s faculty in another, an 1 the men's faculty of the PLJ schools against the Faculty •; the Oregon-Davis schools in the third game. All promises to be very entertaining. Admission for this triple header will be 50 cents for adults and 23 cents for students. JOHN GLENN BAM) BOOSTERS TO MEET A special Band Boosters meeting has been called for Monday. February 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the John Glenn High School. It is very important that parents try to attend as Mr. Brovoid, president, has the membership cards and wishes to distribute them. It was voted on and approved that the band go to band camp this summer. Mr. Henderson, band director, and the band have worked haid and long with satisfactory results. The band camp has helped the members r»f the band immencely but they need funds raised to go to camp. This is one way you can show your appreciation. by purchasing memberships. Incidently. you need not have a child in the band to be a member, everyone is welcome.
