The Shamrocks got rolling in the h-t half of the fir t period t<> open u margin vver the Dragons and roll on to the win. For the first time this season, all live start? s finished in double figures as the Shamrocks combined for their best team effort of the season. The visitors from Marshall county opened with a ta-t basket by big Keith Hardesty just after the actii n st irtrd as he hit a tipin. Beam scored on a fast bre ik and the wore whs 4-0 befvre Kevin Hostetler put the Shamrocks on the board with a lay-in. Heckaman hit a basket for the Dragons but Zo< k hit a free shot for North Liberty. Argos continued to l<x»k strong for a little while as Johnson hit a jumper only to have Zook match this on the scoring end of a fast break. Nolin hit a jumper for the Dragons and Zook matched this and Joe Fisher hit a free throw Nolin's tip mad? it 12-8 Argos with 3:11 left in th? period, but this Is where the Shamrocks really caught fire for a two minute period. Chris Anderson hit a lay-in on fast break and Fisher added a set shot Anderson hit from the side, but Ronnie Young scored on bark-to-buck fast breaks and then followed with a jump shot to opened a 20-12 margin on a 12 point streak that V>ok just two minutes. Johnson and Anderson traded baskets tn fore the perhxl ended with the Shamrocks holding the 22-14 margin. The second period decided the game.
