Pearse spent several days in Warsaw with her grand daughter Jane while Mr. and Mrs. Rich ird Glover were on a business trip to Chicago. Mr Clem Mamerow and Junior were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Oberly m Saturday in Mishawaka. Other guests were Mrs. John Oberly of Wyatt. M William Heck and Peggy of Tinpecanoe and Mrs. William Shields of Mishawaka. Patty Shenman. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sheneman Terrace Lane, South Bend hai the misfortune of falling at school last Friday and breaking her ankle. She is a patient in Memorial Hospital and would enjoy hearing from her friends around Nnrth Liberty. Mrs. Stella Ulrich returned to her home Monday from Memorial Hospital.

North Liberty Lions Have Eye Bank Meeting The North Liberty Lh»ns held their January meeting in Dudeck’s Country Restaurant on January 13. The meeting was a ladies night, and guests were also present from the Lake-ille Lions Club, as well as several prospective new Lion members from North Liberty. The program was presented by Lion Charles Baines and Dr. Dave Turfler, members of the Clay Lions, of South Bend. Dr. Tuifler is the president of the St. Joseph Eye Bank program. This project of Lions in Indiana, is very important and pertains to humans donating their eyes upon death. Lion Barnes discussed the importance of the program. how it operates, and then showed a film to the members and guest present. President Dave Spellman announced that the regular January board meeting of the Club would be held on January 27, in Dudeck’s Restaurant. Jaycee Week Starts Jan, 19 Jaycee Week, the anniversary observance of The U.S. Jaycees, starts next Sunday in Walkerton. Bill Elkin, local Jaycee president announced today. A highlight of the week’s events will be the presentation << a Distinguished Service Award to Walkerton’s outstanding young man who has made an outstanding contribution to the community. The DSA winner will be named at the Jaycees annual Distinguished Service Award Banquet at Heil’s Restaurant. Just prior to the Jaycee Week observances here. The U.S. Jaycees wiH recognize America’s Ten Outstanding Young Men of 1968 in Syracuse, New York. The Distinguished Service Award winner from Walkerton will be entered in the Indiana Jaycee contest, which picks the 10 outstanding young men - 21 through 35 - in the state. The state winners will in turn be entered in The U.S. Jaycees competition which chooses the nation’s ten outstanding young men. SENIOR FELLOWSHIP WILL MEET The Senior Fellowship of the United .Methodist church will meet Monday, January 20 with a pot luck supper at 6:00 pm. Any onewho does not have away to come please cull A.
