Mrs. Carrie Hawblitzel was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Gore in South Bend on New < Years Day. He was a retired B. & 0. Railroad foreman. Mr. Bradford was born Dec. 8, 1895. in Argos and hod lived in Walkerton for the past 30 years after coming from Gary. He was married Dec. 30, 1919, in Crown Point to Virginia B< ntley, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters. Mrs. Richard Naragon of Elkhart, Mrs. William Willis, Mrs. Paul Baughman and Mrs. Dwight !>mert. all of Walkerton; 10 grandchildren and three great-gram hildren; two brothers, Wayne Bradford of Portage and William Bradford of Gary; and six sisters Mrs. Del ph a South of Plymouth, Mrs. Carrie Spoor of Hobart, Mrs. Dorothy Hostetler of Westville, and Mrs. -Lucy Hostetler, Mrs. Emma Weiler and Miss Pauline Bradford, all of Walkerton. Services were at 11 am. Tuesday in St. Patrick s Catholic Church, Walkerton, with Rev. Anthony Letko, ( pastor, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, i
Rosary was recited by the Walkerton Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mr. Bradford was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 189, Walkerton VFW and the Walkerton Knights of Columbus. Mrs. Kose Ewing Mre. Rose Ewing, 62, of io*'» Garden Lane, South Bind, died at 11:40 am. December 31 in Memorial Hospital after a day’s illness. She was a bookkeeper for Hans-Rintweh Luggage Shop. She was born March 2. 1906, in Ligonier und had lived in South Bend R/r the last 27 years moving there from Walkerton. On May 31, 1927, she was married to Donald G. Ewing, in Ligonier, who died Dec. 14. 1959. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary J Schwab, of Albion, and Mrs. Ruth Shock, of Syracuse. Funeral services were held Friday In the Bilanclo-Guisinger Colonial Chapel.
