Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tiede and children vacationed the past two weeks in Virginia. While there they toured Norfolk. Williamsburg. and Washington D.C. and Visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gunn and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cogswell in Virginia Beach. Mr. and Mrs. David Mellin, Bob "and Susan returned last week end from a vacation trip to Colorado Springs. Colo, and the surrounding area. They visited Estes State Park, Rocky Mt. Park. Royal Gorge. Will Rogers Tomb. Garden of Gods and many other interesting sights. Mrs. Fritz Skinner entertained members of the Fellowship Class of the Walkerton United Methodist Church for a picnic at noon, Friday, July 26. Mr. and Mrs. Skinner barbequed chicken for the group. Miks Adalaide Millard assisted Mrs. Skinner as hostess. A white elephant silent auction and sames were enjoyed in the afternoon. Mts. Carl Jensen and two daughters of San Pierre, Indiana were guests. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Groves returned home last week after spending three weeks vacationing in South Dakota and Wisconsin. While in South Dakota they attended the class reunion of the Parkston High school's 1916 graduating class of which Mr. Groves was a member. They also attended the banquet held for the graduating classes of 1900 to 1930 with about 400 in attendance. From there they went to Medford. Wisconsin where hey visited their daughters and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Harder and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Fleischmann and son. Dennis Groves and family in Phillips. Wise. :
Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Sr. and Mrs. Keith Knepper twk their Sunday School classes to Baron Lake last Thursday for a swimming party. A picnic supper was enjoyed in the evening. Mrs. George Dearing. Mrs. Ruth Clark and Mrs. Mabel Jackson of South Bend spent three days last week vacationing and sightseeing in Holland. Michigan and Mackinac Island. Mrs. Fred Purdy, Mra Calvis Tarlton and Mrs. Bertha UrbU were in LaPorte Tuesday to call on Mrs. C. J. Cites who is a medical patient in the E St Division Hospital. Her room number is 213. Mrs. Betty Crossley' and daughter, Norma of Lake Charles, Louisiana are visiting her mother, Mrs. Oscar Barney for several weeks. Sunday they were all dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holland in South Bend. Mrs. Bertha Urbin had as her guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Metzger, Mr. Fred Byrer. Mr. Sam Wixxls. and Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Metger of Kewanna, Mrs. Anna Allen of Winamac, Mrs. D’Maris Metzger of Columbia City, and Mrs. Ruth Hughes of South Bend. Mrs. Richard Anderson Sr. attended a picnic Tuesday for Jan's Art and Ceramic club from the South Bend area, held at the home of Mrs. T. C. Urbin in Kewanna. Mrs. Anderson also has entries at the State Fair in Indianapolis next wek. Anyone attending from here will want to see her display She won has many blue ribbons in the past years for her art displays. A family chicken barbeque and picnic was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Skinner. Birthdays honored were those of Leigh Roy Hahn Jr.. Ted Hostetler and Charles Hostetler. Guests included Mr. and Mis. Leigh Roy Huhn Jr., and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Sr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Herald Hostetler and family. Mrs. Robert Barden and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hostetler and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hostetler and baby all of Walkerton, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Skinner of Fort Wavne.
Mr. and Mrs. John Garab are vacationing this week at Fisher Lake, Mercer, Wise. Mrs. Robert Gills of Hobart. Indiana is a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Fe’Tcrda. Mr. and Mrs. Agnew Luu wig spent the week end in Columbus Ohio with Mr. and Mrs. Art Benson and son, Rick. Mr. and Mrs. Jolly Back and family were visitors in Knox Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Tunis. Rev. and Mrs. Licken of Knox were also guests. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Hiler and Sherry returned last week from Lake Worth, Florida where they spent three weeks at their apartment. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kt -k. Bob. and Debra spent tb°ir vacation with Mr. Roger Sprunger in Newport, Tennessee. While there they spent a lot of time sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains. On their return home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Long at Indiana University in Bioimington: Debra stayed to visit a few days with her sister and her husband. On Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Long brought Debra home and spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Keck and family. Mrs. Ronald Bellinger and Lisa Ann were Sunday afternoon visitors.

Mr. and-Mrs. Roland Cantway all of Fort Meyers. Enroute home , they stopped in Ohio to visit their soh, Tom Fleming who was flown to the states from Viet Nam with a severe case of hepatitis. He is in the Fairborn AFB hospital, Fairborn. Ohio.
