Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hiddebrand end family of Avon, Ohio spent the July 4th holiday with Mrs. Myrtle Donathen. Mr. and Mrs. Alien Balsley and Keith were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Flatt in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clingenpeel attended the funeral of a relative in Port Huron, Mich., last week end. Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mi*. William Dutcher and Keith were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Claxton and Bobby of Mishawaka and Miss Joanne Jackson of South Bend. Saturday visitors in the Clem Mamerow home were Cam 41 Baughman from California, Mr. and Mrs. George Worthen and Mr. and Mrs. Faris of Elgin. 111. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheneman attended a party at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Walsh near Walkerton. Prizes were Won by Chester Thayer of LaPaz, Susie Teter of Mishawaka and Mrs. Marian Fouts of Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Robertson and daughter of Ann Arbor, Michigan were over night guests of Mrs. Iza Smith on Wednesday. Mrs. Kenneth Schiffhauser of Des Plaines. Illinois was an overnight cuest on Friday. Visitors in the Kenneth Doan home this past week were Mi. and Mrs. Worth Jackson and children of Worth, Illinois, Miss Doan of Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bryant of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mr. and Mr*. Only in rare cases, as in the arts for example, does constructive criticism jjy a teacher to pupil make sense. In m« st other cases, criticism is destructive; , nut constructive. Nor can it ire. The Bible says. "Judge not lest ye be not judged." A wise, old Sioux Indian once prayed, "Help me never to judge another until I have walked two woks in his moccasins." In present day language, we often hear "Get off my back." No one is perfect We all make mistakes. With human nature as it is hardlj »ny> ne can truthfully say he or she likes to be criticized. Even w n it is asked for, harsh criticism is unwanted.
