Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Whitaker and daughter, Karen returned Sunday from a weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wray in Grapevine. Texas. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Jacobs and family returned Friday from Arthur Lake at Traverse City. Michigan vacationing. They spent their time fishing, swimming and sightseeing. Miss Patricia Heim of Oceanside. California spent two weeks vacationing in Indiana, visiting among her relatives in North Liberty and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Baker in Walkerton. While here she attended the Heim reunion on Sunday, July 7. Rev. and Mrs. Harold Williams and family were in Indianapolis the latter part of last week where they were called by the death of Mrs. Williams mother. Mrs. Anna Parton. Her funeral was held Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chap .. n also attended the funeral.

Mrs. M. B. Slick had as guests Sunday, her nephew and niece. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Koontz of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Conrad of Clearwater. Florida spent last week with her mother. Mrs. Clem Tuttle and Jerry. They also visited other relatives while here. Mr. and Mrs. Burgoone Carnes of Rawleigh, North Carolina left Friday for their home after a two weeks vacation visiting in the home of her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Solmos of North Liberty and Mrs. Mamie Mackin in Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lawrence of Koontz Lake had as their guests for several days, Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy Wadman of Merrillville, Indiana. Saturday evening they were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen. and Sunday the Lawerences’ had 4 o'clock dinner for their guests and Mr. and Mrs. Hannagen.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Berg and granddaughter, Kathy were Saturday afternoon and evening guests of Mrs. Berg's sister, Mr. and Mrs, Wayne Burch. Mrs. Bonnie Nowakowski and daughters, Robin and Bambi of Crown Point are spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Zerler. Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. Reeder and family and Miss Linda Rimer of Santa Clara. California left for their home last Wednesday after a two weeks visit with his mother. Mrs. Fannie Reeder. Mr. and Mrs. James Meyers and children of Garden. Grove, Calif, returned to their home following a visit with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Meyers of Koontz Lake. Dr. and Mrs. Sainz De La Pena and daughters, Marguerita and Fifi of Miami, Florida were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Collins and family the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Mann spent last week-end in Martins Ferry. Ohio and Wheeling. West Virginia, visiting relatives. On their return trip, they visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Howard in Indianapolis. Mrs. Wesley Whitteberry and granddaughters. Roxanne. Norma and Tammy Whitteberry and Dee Hunt visited her son and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whitteberry at Hoffman Estates, Elgin. Illinois. Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Norris and daughters. Linda and Cathy of Hialeah. Florida are enjoying a three weeks vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nori is and also in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Zerler of Koontz Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Pavey of R. R. 2, Walked on entertained the sisters and brothers of the Pavey families at a family diner on July 14 The day was spent by visiting since this was the first gathering of the entire families in ten years. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Wint Kerns of Hillsdale, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Douglas and Daniel Pavey of Cayuga. Mr. Barton Pavey and friend of Ft. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Henry are the parents of a baby boy born July 15 in the E St. Div. hospital, LaPorte. Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Crawford are, Mrs. Catherine Roberts of Schenectady. New York and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Phelps and daughter, of Latham. New York. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryan. Janet. Julie and Jim and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin were Sunday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch at Koontz Lake. James Daube arrived home from Viet Nam on a 30-day leave. Following his leave he will go to Fort Hood, Texas for further assignment. His wife Sue, who has been living in North Judson will accompany him. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beaty and grandsons. Robert and Richard Cole attended a family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Campbell near Van Wert. Ohio Sunday honoring their sister, Mrs. Lawrence Freeman of Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. James Meyers and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Meyers. Mr. and Mrs. James McMillen of Mishawaka. Mrs. Bernice Jacoby of Niles, Michigan and Walter Stein of New Carlisle were recent guests of Mrs. Meyers mother, Mrs. Gertrude Stevens and son, Howard of Culver.
