1 Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Wright of Hanna were Friday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Chapman. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kersh and family who spent the past year in Commerce. Texas, have returned to Walkerton to make their home. Mrs George Parks. Georganna and Nina of Commerce. Texas are spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Mayotte Arseneau. John Parks came with them and is attending summer school at Culver Military Academy. After a visit with John on Sunday. Mrs. Parks and daughters will leave for their home. A birthday party was held at the Holiday Inn at Plymouth Saturday evening honoring the 90th birthday of Mrs. Belle Hardenbrook. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hurst and Mrs. Hazel Hurst of Willard, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. William Hurst and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. James Gardner and two children of Cleveland. During the evening they talked on the telephone to Major Hurst who is stationed at San Bernardino, Calif. A birthday cake, beautifully decorated with 90th birthday on it centered the dining table. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all and one Mrs. Hardenbrook will never forget. Mrs. Hardenbrook entertained the group for dinner on Sunday after which they all left for their homes in Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hunke and family of Campbell. California returned to their home after spending a week visiting his father, Albert Huhnke Sr. and other relatives in Walkerton. A family get-to-gether was held in their honor in the home of Mr. Huhnke Sr. Others present were, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huhnke, Lana and Paula of Wyatt, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ruggles and children of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nablo of Union Mills, Mr. and Mrs. James Nusbaum and children of Mishawaka, Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy E. Smith and John, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Huhnke Jr. Cindy and Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Prentis, Jack and Jill, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Ross, Mark and Shirley, and Mr. and Mrs. David Clark; also Mr. and Mrs. Sam Browder of near Louisville, Ky., parents of Mrs. Leslie Hunke. Mis. Elsie Morris returned last week from a 10 day visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Murphy of White Bear Lake. Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dangler of Rt. 1. Koontz Lake entertained at a birthday party for their grandson. Lance Jones on Thursday. June 27. Guests were. Cindy Briggs, David Maher, Melanie Mullet. Bobby Muncie, Brian and Jeanne O’Connor and Brenda and Scott Skiles. The local Rebekah Lodge held their last meeting for the summer on Tuesday, June 25. This was their friendship night a-<d members from other lodges were present from Goshen and South Bend. Ice cream and cAte was served. They will resume their meetings in September.

Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Fitzgerald and family arrived from Glendale, Arizona tor a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagles entertained with a birthday dinm r Sunday honoring the birthday of Norman Beagles. Others present were Mrs. Beagles and Timmie, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson and Mr. and Mis. Roger Hellinga and Tommy of Middlebury. Mrs. Robert Fenstermacher recently attended a weeks training at Illinois Wcsljan University in preparation for a director and teacher for the School of Missions for North Indiana Conference at North Webster which was held last week. Mrs. Fenstermacher was chairman for each evenings program which included round table discussions, dialogues, and reviewing the lessons given by Rev. Everson and other ministers of the district. She reports her work with the group as very challenging and most interesting. Her four children were enrolled in a laboratory school for the week and spent the week in the cottage of Dr. Fenster--jnachers parents on Lake Webfeter. I

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crambert and two children of Bowie, Maryland arrived Saturday to spend a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Crambert. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Knowlton and daughters of North Liberty and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton and Gene were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kelver of Bremen. ' Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beeney and three children of Richmond, Ohio spent three days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baker and family. Mrs. Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Beeney were schoolmates in Ohio. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rensberger were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rensberger of North Liberty, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rensberger of South Bend and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Swank of Sebring, Florida. Mrs. Swank is a cousin of Lhe Rensbergers and a school teacher in Sebring. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chapman and three daughters returned Thursday evening from a vacation trip which tcxik them through the New England states and Canada. They visited Niagara Falls, Quebec, Montreal, Canada, Arcadia National Park at Bar Harbor, Maine Boston and other scenic places.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jones and four children of Elgin, Illinois spent Sunday with Mrs. Jones aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kerchaert. Mrs. Mildred Bowman of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Donald Whitney and children, Lisa and Mike of Riverwood, California were visitors in the home of Mr. A. L. Duper and Mrs. Luoille Ward last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen had Sunday geusts from Elgin, 111., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jones and and four children and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kerchaert. Mrs. Jones is a niece of Mrs. Hannagen and Mrs. Kerchaert.
