were entered in the 100 yard dash and the 200 yard shuttle relay. Mr. Chamberlin presented ribbons to two boys who placed in the final track meet of the South Bend Community School Corporation for the sth and 6th grades. This meet, held at Washington High School had Edward Hanson, the winner of the shot put in the Junior Division. The other ribbon winner was Alan Kaser with a third place finish in the 220 yard dash. Forrest Dunnuck, Junior High Coach, presented a resume of the record of the track team, and presented awards to the following: To Dale Kaser, with three individual blue ribbons in the Junior Division of the Corporation track meet, with a first in the high jump, the hurdles, and the 410. Dale's time in the 440 set a new corporation record of 14.2 seconds. Other ribbon winners were Mike Wesolek with a first in the pole vault and in the broad jump in the Junior Division; and to Greg Gensinger with a first in th< pole vault in the senior division; and to Shane Hosteth r with a 2nd in the pole vault, and a 3rd in the hurdles, both in the senior division. Spelling championship plaques were presented to the two champions, Beth Donathen in grades 7 & 8; and to Terry Johnson, in the sth & 6th contest. Attendance certificates were presented to all students who had not been absent or tardy during the school year, and to those who had two consecutive years of perfect attendance. There were a total of 106 students who had perfect attendance

this school year. One student, Brenna Clark, has had five consective years, and Roger Albert has had seven consecutive years of perfect attendance. Those students with three or more years of perfect attendance all received pins as well as the certificate. Special certificate of Honor were awarded to all students in the 6th, «th, and Bth grades who had been on the Honor Roll during each of the four grading periods this past year.
