Mr. William R. Bettcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bettcher of 61507 Snowberry Rd., North Liberty received his degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the Commencement exercises held at 3:30 p.m. June 5 at the South Bend - Mishawaka Campus of Indiana University. He was also Commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the United States Army Reserve during ceremonies held Saturday, June 1 at Stephan Center at Notre Dame where he completed instructions in the Reserve Officers Training Corp, Until he reports to active duty, he has accepted a position with the Lybrand, Ross Bros, and Montgomery firm in South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Bettcher and Miss Jan Palacki of South Bend at tended the Commissioning ceremony and commencement. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Schwartzentraub of Koontz Lake also attended the commencement exercises. NL Baptist Church To Have Mens Night Sunday First Baptist Church of North Liberty will be featuring all laymen on the program in their "MEN'S NIGHT" next Sunday evening, 7:30. In keeping with Father’s Day's emphasis on men, even the preacher will be a layman. He is Mr. Allen Balsley, deacon chairman, who will soon leave the local church to go Michigan, where he will enter Bible college. Other men of tne church are scheduled to play instrumental music, pray usher testify, and sing. Although the service is

YORKTOWN (LIB MEETS The Walkerton Yorktown Home Demonstration Club met in the home of Mrs. Marvin Williams. Tuesday evening, May 28. Mrs. Walter Jackson was assistant hostess. The hostess, Mrs. Williams gave an interesting lesson on "How to Protect Oneself". Mrs. Jack Ryan gave an informative lesson on Cancer Deception. Door prizes were awarded to Mrs. Harry Masterman and Mrs. Joseph Lowry.
