Mr. and Mrs. Charley Steinke, Juanita and Cindy spent from Wednesday to Sunday camping at Pogagan State Park in Angola. Their son, Ronnie joined them for the week end. Mrs. Wesley Whitteberry and her two granddaughters, Norma and Tammy spent from Wednesday of last week to Sunday in Lafayette visiting M^ and Mi’s. Roscoe Cohee, Mrs. haz^l Linedecker, Mrs. Bessie Bogan Mr. and Mrs. Eart Frantz, and Mr. and Mrs. John Frantz and her brother, Quincy Crose. Saturday night, Mrs. Whitteberry and Mr. Crose attended the Stockwell Alumni. Mrs. Whitteberry was the oldes member present. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Masterman entertained Sunday with a cook-out and birthday celebration for their son. Terry who was two. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Ijowcll Wood of Carmel, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Masterman and son of Elkhart, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Keeling and sons and Torn Wood of Torrance. Calif. Mr. Wood left for his home Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bick were in Speedway, Indiana on Memorial Day and viewed the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. MALTS? SHAKES? SUNDAES? Banana Boats? You Bet'. Maid Rite Drive In, just South of North Liberty on 23. Mrs. Ellen Brede entertained for her house guest. Maj. Geraldine Tom of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Monday with a one o’clock luncheon. Maj. Tom, a native of Hawaii and a connoisseur of Chinese Cooking assisted her hostess in preparing a complete Chinese dinner. Real Chinese Fortune cookies were passed and clever fortunes had been inserted by the hostess. Guests included Mesdames Frank Kramer, Allan Seaholm, Ethel Hudelweyer, Clyde Walz, William Kuhlwein. George Hillis. Edward Jacobson, George Lanphere. Tom Walsh and Newton Williams. CELEBRATES 10th BIRTHDAY Seventeen guests and relatives enjoyed a wienr roast and birthday party at the Richard Anderson Jr. home on May 28 in honor of Kevin Anderson 10th birthday. A little rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the enthusiasic boys. Outdoor games were played with prizes won by Lloyd Rosander, Jay Thornburg, Danny Awald, Russell Bacewic and Billy Anderson. Baseball was the theme used for the party and a large chocolate cake in the shape of a catchers mit was enjoyed by all. Kevin received many lovely gifts, and shall long remembei his 10th birthday.

Mrs. John Wells and Mrs. Frank Hahn spent the Memorial Day week end in Bloomingfield with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Malstaff and family. Miss Deanne Mechling of Washington, D.C., was a week-end guest of her parents and family, the Harry Mechlings. Harriet Mechling and Alan B<>|de of Chicago were Saturday guests. Bob and Gary returned home Sat. from Bloomington, Ind., for the summer vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams, Walkerton, attended the High School Graduation of thcfr grandson, Jeffory Evans, from the Griffin High School, Springfield, 111. last Friday evening. May 31 and remained for the week end with their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Evans. Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman were in Faribault, Minn, from Wednesday to Monday where they attended the Commencement and 50 year class reunion for the graduating class of 1918 of Shattuck Military School, of which Mr. Guttman was a member. Their were fourteen members of the f9lB glass and their wives present for the reunion. Thursday the class was entertained at the Headmaster's house. Friday, a noon luncheon was held in their honor at which time 50 year pins were presented to the class member present. Fri. day evening they were honored guests at a dinner and dance at the school. Saturday evening they attended the Commencement and Review for the 1968 graduating class. A memorable time was enjoyed by all.
