Baccalaureate Sunday For North Liberty Rev. Thomas C. Rough, minister of the Central Evengelical United Brethern Church, now a part of the United Methodist Church, will be the speaker for the North Liberty Baccalaureate Service on Sunday afternoon, at 2:30 p.m. in the High School Gym. This service, the only one of its kind that a student has as a class in their school career, will begin the closing exercises for the class of 1968. ffjjL P* 11 Rev. Rough is a graduate of Niles High School, Niles, Mich., Marion College and the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Illinois. He has done graduate work at Ball State. Fisk University and the Elgin Slate Mental Hospital. He is a member of the Indiana North EUB Conference Department of Social Action; Executive Board Member of Tri-Valley Council, Box - Scouts of America; Chairman of Department of Home and National Missions of Indiana Conference North. Rev. Rough is very active in other organizations and is a former president of the Plymouth Community School Board of Education. He is a former president of the Plymouth Ministerial Association; Chairman of Menominee District Protestant Committee on Scouting; Group Leader of Plymouth EUB Aiea Churches and a member of the Marshall County Tax Adjustment Board. Mr. Rough is a frequent speaker at meetings and con.er em e;,. He also speaks before teacher organizations, civic groups, community banquts and Chambei of Commerce banquets. The Walkerton Chamber o. Commerce purchased 18 planters for the business of Walkerton as part of the civic improvement and beautification program. Memorial Day Observance Set For Walkerton The Walkerton Memorial Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, but all in the parade are asked to assemble at the High School at 10:00 a.m. to bo lined up and ready to go at the parade time. The graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Bureau of Field Services (School of Education); Professor of School Administration; and Coordinating Secretary of the Indiana Association of Public Scho< 1 Superintendents. A native of South Dak< ta. he served as teacher, coach and as school administrator in that state prior to joining the Indiana University faculty in 1967. Hr received his Bachelors degree from Dakota Wesleyan University and graduate degrees from the University of Denver. Dr. Berkley has served as a District Governor of Toastmasters International; is a former Toastmasters International winner in a speech contest; cached 5 state and two national champinoship speech teams; was a Ford Foundation Fellow; has authored numerous articles and publications; spent six months in Europe (1967-68 i studying the British educatii nal system; a member of the Bloomington Rotary Club and St Mark's Methodist Chuich. He is married and the father of four children.
