Dues for tile coming year should be brought t > this meeting. Lions Club Plans Several Projects In Walkerton The Walkerton Lions Club will have a ladies' Night meeting on Tuesday. Max- 28, at the American legion Hall in Walkerton. This meeting Will be under the chairmanship of K. C. Chapman. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. for the evening. The Lions have a Chicken Barbecue planned for Saturday. June 8. during the Walkerton Summer Festival. The feed will be held at the Farmers State Bank Parking Lit. near the center of all the activities for this day. Serving will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the parade at 1:00 p.m. and afterwards if necessary. Tickets will be in the hands of the members and can be purchased from all members of the club. Make this fine dinner a part of the I ri., Sat.. Suu. Max 10. Saturday, May Ith. in the Walkerton Elementary S< hool. The business meeting was opened by the president. Wayne Allsop, who thanked Bill Troxell our caller for a fine evening of enjoyment. We had guests from Star X's and from Hanna. Arrangements were made for a group to go to LaPorte, to visit Hi Pa rd ne rs on Saturday. May 11. Anyone wishing to go should be at the Walkerton Elemetary Elementary Building at 7 p.m. The president reminded the group that as of June Ist we will be dancing from 8 p.m. till 11 pm. This has been the policy of the club in the past in order to cooperate with the farmers and other act ivities. Suggestions for our anniversary dance were given and the group is to be thinking about them. Tile dance will be held in July.
