North Liberty OES Installs Officers Inxtallatii n services for the newly elated and appointed officets of North Liberty Chapter Number 290 Order of the Eastern Star were held in the Ma.*>ntc Temple of North Liberty March 30. D< lores Palmer was installed a- Worthy Matron in a lovely service. A song, "Climb Evers' M >untain" was sung in her honor. She was then escorted to the East by her Mother, Mrs. Eb an<>r R* ss. Her motto, 'Pi iver is the Key to Heaven, but Faith Unlocks the door." The Worthy Matron's mother, pi* - nted the Bible at the altar to pen the ceremony. The lady officers wore gowns of yellow with a full panel attached at th< wrist. They wore co; ages of White roses and blue carnations. Tht Worthy Matron's gown was of blue and white lace. Immeriate family's of the couple were introduced. They were Mrs. Eleanor Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ross, brother of Mrs. Palmer from Merriville. Also Mi and Mrs. Robert .1. Palmer of Lakeville, and Mr. and Mrs. Rob rt Vaszari. sister of Mr. Palin*-' of South B> nd. Mr. an i Mrs. Palmer very graci< usly accepted their newly eh . 'ed offices. Mrs William Snyder and Mr. James Wolfe. Junior and Patron, were escorted to the altar to receive jewels from the Chapter. They were presented by Mrs. Donald Kuber and Mr. Kent Palmer. Afterwhich a song was sung in their honor, "May the G<x«d Ijord Bless and Keep You." The cloHing solo wns "At the End of a Perfect Day." The dining room was decorated in blue and white The tea table was white net with blue ribbons. Place mats were blue with the praying hands. Flowers were white roses with a touch of blue. White cake with blue icing and white roses was served. Chairman of refreshments and decorations was Mary Kuber. Serving were Mrs. Hiram Rupel and Mrs. Cecil Weber. Elects Officers The Northern Indiana Her* ford Association held their annual Spring meeting at the Steer Inn. Silver Lake. Indiana. Fifty-five members and guests were present. The speaker for the evening was Dr. Roger Hunsley of the Purdue Animal Science Department. Lafayette. Ind. He spike and illustrated the modern beef animal in comparsion to its predecessors.
