Weldy live in Elkhart. They have three sons and seven grandchildren. Rev. Weldy was in public school work for thirty years as a teacher and principal. He anti Mrs. Weldy were directors at Flat ("reek Mission in Kentucky, for six years, from 1951 to 1957. They spent two years in German} at Brethren Haus during the 250th anniversary year of the Church of the Brethren. This is where the church originated. They were house parents and entertained guests from far and near for the celebration. From 1957 to 1959 he was Pastor of the Pleasant Valley Church. He has been director of the Elkhart County Schools for the past six years and is active as a member of the Elkhart Cit\ Church. He teaches an adult class and is chairman of thBrethren Services Commission, there. Pre-Easter Services At LaPaz Church Mr. Baughn Lasseter, music director and trumpet soloist, will be one of the featured musicians of the Markel Gospel Team that will conduct Pre-Easter Services at the Calvary Baptist Church of LaPaz. Rev. E. Richard Markel will be the evangelist and Miss Jessica Haist will be the vocal soloist. Mr. Lasseter is a music major from the Tocca Falls Bible College and has directed many church, radio and school choirs. Previous to joining the Markel Gospel Team he was music director. recreation and athletic director at the Miracle Hills Schools in Greenville. South Carolina. Evangelist Markel has been in the gospel ministry for twentysix years, while twenty of those has seen him ministering in churches, summer Bible conferences and schools as nn evangelist. He Is sought after as a youth speaker in camps, rallies and churches. Miss Jessica Haist. who was formerly In New York show business, will present a Sunday Sacred Concert on Sunday, April 7 from 3 to 4 o’clock. The Pre-Easter Services begin with the 10:30 Sunday morning worship service and continue each evening nt 7:30 (EST). Rev. Harry E.
