Miss Joanne Jackson of South Bend was the Saturday evening supper guest of Mr and Mrs. William Dutcher and Keith. Mr. and Mis. Allen Balsh y and K«ith have returned home after sp, nding several day> in Cleveland. Ohio, due to the illness of Mrs. Clyde Creech. Mr. and Mrs. Shields have returned home from a vacation in Hawaii. OPEN HOUSE Richard “Dick" Gouker who is leaving for the service. April 4 will be the guest at an "open house" on Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Frank Sims visited Mr. and Mrs. Loren Shearer. Sunday afternoon Carol Steele entertained four friends Friday evening in honor of her birthday. Mrs. Mildred Tribbey and Mrs. Helen Lemert of Lakeville spent Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. William Dutcher. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Snyder were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Snyder and family in Plymouth. Michigan. Susan Steele of Kokomo visited Mr. and Mrs. Max Steele and family last week end. Mr. Gale Lit ter of Kokomo was their guest Friday and Saturday evenings. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cinders and family of Los Angles. California and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller of South Bend were Friday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mamerow and Junior. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Murphy and Mr and Mrs. Claude Sheneman visited Dr. and Mrs. A. A. Thompson and Miss Anna Steele at the Haven Hubbard Home near New Carlisle. Sunday afte4rn<>on. Mrs. Beulah Schrader of South Bend was a recent visitor of Mrs. Bertha Schrader. Last Thursday visitors were Mrs. Leo Balsley, Mrs. Glen Balsley, Miss Lila Berger and Mrs. Edna Hochstetler all from Bremen. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith and family of Elkhart and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rudynski and sons were Saturday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schrader at Koontz Lake. Tuesday, March 26th a number of friends met at the home of Mrs. Betty Surne of Galeen. Mich, for a quilting and also honoring the birthday of one of the guests Mrs. Laura Fair. Others present were: Mrs. Harry Clark, Mrs. Gertrude Sousley, Mrs. Ralph Sousley, Mrs. Robert Bauman, Mrs. Ronald Howell and Kelly, Mrs. William Fair and Beth. Mrs. Robert Anderson and son and Miss Bonnie Surne. A lovely dinner was enjoyed by all. Also a birthday cake was made by Mrs. Ralph Sousley. Use Your Seat Belts Always!

DIXIE WALKERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB The Dixie Walkers Square Dance club held their regular club dance Saturday night in the Elementary School building. The business meeting was opened by the President. Wayne Allsop who thanked our caller, Bill Troxell for the evening dances. Guest caller, Virgil Troxell.also received a round of applause for his calling. Guests for the evening were from Star B's. Dizzy Dancers, and Swinging Squares. During the past two weeks the club visited Star B’s and O. C. Squares. The President announced that there would be a Michiana Callers Dance Saturday, March 30, at the Laurel Club in South Bend Also a Duneland Dance Association dance in Michigan City, April 3rd. Lessons started Sunday. March 17. at Stuntz Pine Forrest, 7 p.m. There is still time to enroll and join the fun. Th, club will be doing a series of dances for the American Legion. March 30. to help celt - brate the Legions birthday. We would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to our Spring Festival. This is a special dance to be held on Friday, April sth. The chairman Mrs. Leßoy Hahn, opened the meeting with hymn singing, a reading on Spring, and each one was asked, "What Does Spring Mean To’ You?” Chicken pie supper March 27. District meeting at North Judson, March 29. The next meeting will be held April 3.
