Mrs. Khnedinst played a musical interlude while the chapter was prepared for installation. Mrs. Lidy's motto “Happiness is a Great Virtue” was on the east drop curtain. A blue lined white shadow box encasing the open Bible, pink rose buds and a blue bird was in the east. Flowers on the four pedestals were arrangements of pink roses and white mums with a touch of pink pussywillows. The new women officers wearing the blue brocade floor length gown> with the exception of Mrs. Lidy and the associate matron, Mrs. Clarence Reid who wore identical gowns in deep pink. Following Mrs. Lidy's vows at the altar, given by Mrs. McCombs. the soloist sang “May Each Day." Miss Barbara Lidy of Fort Wayne escorted her mother to the east where she was introduced and given grand honors. Mr. Williams was given his obligation by Mrs. McCombs. The soloist sang "My Best to You", after which he was escorted to the east by his wife, introduced and given grand honors. The following other officers were installed by Mrs. McCombs: Mrs. (’lan nee Reid, associate matron; Donald Wolfenberger, associate patron; Mrs. Don Wolfenberger, secretary: Mrs. Garry Clark, treasurer; Mrs. Robert

King, conductess; Mrs. Robert Candler, assmiate conductress; Mrs. Ed De Vos, Marshall; Mrs. Carl Shores, Adah; Mrs. Ida Mae Watkins. Ruth; Mrs. Mildred Dutcher. Esther; Mrs. Ralph Jackson. Martha; and Mrs. Myron Mullet, Electa and Percy Selkirk, warder. Miss Cathy Lidy presented a gavel to her mother. In Mrs. Lidy's acceptance speech she introduced members of her family and there members of the Bible Degree, present, Mrs. Danny Dipert, Mrs. Larry Groves and Mrs. Orville Khnedinst. Receiving special recognition were: Mrs. Alfred Drews. Mother Advisor of Walkerton Rainbow Assembly and Grand Deputy of Dist. 26 Order of Rainbow; Mr. Alfred Drews, Grand Lecturer of Districts 1 and 26. Order of Rainbow for Girls: and Mr. Marvin Williams. Demolay Dad. The new Worthy Matron in her inspiring talk explained the selections of her theme, her motto, watch words, flowers, emblem and scripture. She also expressed her appreciation for all the assistance given for the lovely evening. Mr. Williams related some ideas he and Mrs. Lidy have for the coming year and introduced Mrs. Williams and his family. Four Rainbow' Girls: Miss Isaura Jo Thnmburg, Miss Pam Dutcher. Roxann Whitteberry and Miss Gerri Stick ley presented Mrs. Lidy (their former Rainbow momi with large pink roses and blue birds cn green stems as they wished her happiness and much success. Mrs. Drews pre-

sented both Mrs. Lidy and Mrs. Williams gifts from the Rainbow Assembly. Following remarks from several officers and guests in the east Mr. and Mrs. Verkier were escorted to the altar to sign the memory pages in the Holy Bible. Mrs. McCombs sang “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You” as they knelt at the altar. Mr. and Mrs. Williams presented the Verkiers their past matron and past patron jewels, a gift from the chapter. Following the retiring march a reception was held in the social room where pink rosea and blue birds gave an air of spring time to the entire room. On a blue screen the watch words, "Loyalty and Courage” were in blue and white behind a blue covered gift table, centered with a blue bowl of pink rose buds and pink net. The tables centered with topiarly trees of tiny pink rose buds and pink net, each topped by a blue bird. Pink and blue petals were scattered down the center of the tables. The serving table with a pink cloth and skirted in blue tulle was center'd with a silvered and glittered tree branch with tiny rose buds and petals of pink appointments were in silver with net and many tiny bluebirds. The appointments were in silver with lighted sliver and white tapers in silver holders. Sandwiches, coffee, punch, relishes, nuts and mints were served by Mrs. Frances Gindelberger, Mrs. Charles High. Mrs. Marvin Williams, Mrs. Wayne Cover and Miss
