Indiana Farm Prices Rise Again Indiana farm prices and farm purchasing p >wer rose three per cent from mid-January to midFebraury, report Purdue University agriculture economists and state-federal agricultural statisticians. This was the second 30-dny period in which increases were registered. The National Index of Prices Received by Farmers advanced one per cent during the m< nth. Tile Index of Prices Paid by U.S. Farmers increased two points. The Indiana Gram Price Index climbed two per cent to a level of 192. which is 11 per cent below the February, 1967. level. The Indiana Livestock Price Index went up three per cent, which brought it six per cent above the year enrlier level. Corn, soybean and wheat prices each rose two per cent, while oat prices rose three per cent. Hogs led the livestock price rise with a seven per cent Increase. Cattle prices were up three per cant. Broiler prices also climbed three per cent. Whole milk and lamb prices remained unchanged from the previous 30-day period. Farm prices for Indiana eggs and turkeys dropped.
