Dr. William Carter representing Lincoln T< wnship, ha been an activ? School Board member for four years, as of June 30. 1968. and has served thr-e years as secretary. Elburt Pl^ce representing Johnson Township, has served as both Board President and Vico President the last four years. Though each member represents a township area, all members are voted on at largo from the total school district. All members feel they should again offer their services and experiences for completing the present building programs and curriclum changes that have been initiated in reri nt years.

Following the business meeting and thia part of the program, both the elementarxschool and the high school will hold open house. There will be no executive board meeting this month. Open House And Gym Night Tuesday At The North Liberty Schools
The North IJbcrty High and Elementary School and the PTA will sponsor an OPEN HOUSE and a PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEMONSTRATION night. Tur. day March 19. beginning at 7 0(1 pm. Parents and patrons arc cordially invited and urged to at tend. The gym program will begin at 7 00 and wall feature students from grade 6 through 12 enrolled in either boys or girls physical education classes. Students will perform on gym apparatus, demonstrate class procedure, as well as providing a-Vaning program of acrobatics and gymnastics, and rhythms. The program is being coordinated by Mr. Schmid high school P. E. Instructor and include demonstrations fr-.m Miss Lincoln Mis. Hou mu. Mr. C .rep and Mr. Schmid • P.E. classes. Following the gym program both the High School and Elementary Mh s>l will stage Op-n Houses with tea. her being present in their rooms for parental visitation. In addition the fine arts and industrial arts departments will display student projects in their rooms. The Honor Society members will act as guides for the high school building. Parents are cordially invited to avail themselvcs of the opportunity to witness the demonstrations and visit their whools and teachers. Public Library Joins In National “Library Week'’ The Walkerton Public Libraryin co-operation with the National Library Week in Indi ma whi< h is April 21-27, is conducting an essay contest for students in grades 7 through 12. The subject of the essay is to be What I Expect of My Library." length should not exceed more than 1,000 words. It is to be typed on B*_> X 11 in paper and double-spaced. A cover sheet giving the title, the entrant's name, address, telephone, school grade in s< hool. and public library should accompany the essay.
