New Carlisle Tops Shamrocks 59-56 Saturday New Carlisle's Tigers and the N<«rth Liberty Shamn ck • had an exciting game Friday night th it found the Tigers edging the Shamrocks on the strength of a six point scoring streak when both teams were having trouble getting the ball in the basket. The game had been close all the way, but the drought for the Shamrocks while New Carlisle was doing only slightly better with six points made the difference. The loss was the Shamrocks eighth of the season against five wins and the third loss in three league games tn the Northern State Conference play. Stan Noel opened the scoring with a jumper but the Shamrocks came back for an early lead of 3-2 as Kevin Hostetler hit a jumper and Jim De-tU a free throw.
