1962 Bicycle Safety ( heck Sid l or Sat unlay. Walkiibn will hold a bicycle safety cheek program this Saturday at which time all bicycles that an brought to the check can be then ughly checked over at this time. It will be held at the Walkerton Youth Building from 8:30 am. until noon. The Walkerton Civil Defense Police will assist with this program. North Liberty Elementary School Repaind. For the past several weeks, plasterers from the South Bend Community School Corporation Maintenance Department have been repairing classrooms and hallways in the North Liberty School Building. Liberty Elementary major repairs are necessary in some nxims. After the completion of the plaster repairs, the school corporation painters will paint the rooms, hallways and gym. Parade and Party Top Walkerton Activities. The annual Halloween Party for the children of Walkerton will be held on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31. The party will be preceded by the ‘ Parade of Gobline" that will assemble at the Post Office to begin promptly at 6 30. The teenagers of Walkerton will havi a dance starting at 8. 1947 Koontz Lake Fire Department is Five Years Old. Hallowe'en Party Will Be Held In Plata* Park. The annual Hallowe'en Frolic, sponsored jointly by the Business and Professional Women's club and the Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Place Park Friday, October 31. In case of rain, the party will be transfered to the grade school gym. Byrne* Grocery Sold At Koontz Lake. The William Byrnes grocery on road 23, Koontz Lake, has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Hilding Sunbeam, and will be known as the Sunbeam Grocery. They plan to add a small bakery to their store in a few weeks. American Legion Presents “Corn zapoppin”. "Cornzapoppin,” a S-act play, all local talent comedy, will be presented Thursday. October 30 and Friday at the Walkerton High School unier the sponsorship of the American Legion. A well-directed home talent play, with musical and specialty interludes, is a welcome form of entertainment.
