‘<- jMmMMMaMMaMMMMMMIi The picture we feature this week might bring back some memories to Walkerton people of a scene in Walkerton many years ago. The date of this picture is not known or are the individuals pictured. However the scene was taken in the old glass factory in Walkerton whi< h was housed in the same building that Plas Steel located in during the early 1950 s and still occupy’s behind the tower on Adams Street. We wish to thanX the different indivi fuals for their contributions of pictures that have been coming in and we will get all of them that we can reproduce, in the paper as time passes. At present, we have several weeks ahead, but don't let this discourage you. We particularly are, interested in pictures that anyone can give us identifying the people or scenes or give us any Information that would be of interest concerning the picture. Auxiliary News Members of the Walkerton American Legion Auxiliary Unit Were told at their regular monthly meeting, Thursday Sept. 7 that cupboards the unit purchased for the up-stairs kitchen had arrived and would be installed in a few days. Membership chairman, Mrs. Fred Fitzke reported 85 paid up members and urged all eligible members to get their dues in before Oct. 20 so the Unit mav complete in the Quota campaign. OES Chapters To Combine For Joint Inspection Three chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star will be inspected jointly Friday evening Sept. 22. conducte 1 by Mrs. Richard Moser, Berne, Indiana, Worthy Grand Matron. in the Walkerton Masonic Temple. Walkerton officers will be in charge of the opening. New Carlisle will do the initinry degrees and North Liberty will have the closing. Dinner at 6:30 will be served at the Walkerton United Metho dist Church. A baby dedication will be held at 7:10 at the Temple.
