.Uli II II CiUMMUN Miss Carolyn Fave Mann and Mr. Jeffrey Cassius Barnes were united in marriage on August 19, 1967 at 8:00 p.m. in the Unitarian Church, Evanston. Illinois. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Mann. 1135 Harrison Street Walkerton, Indiana. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rny Corr, Evanston. Illinois. Large baskets of white gladiolus flanked by two seven tiered Candelabras decorated the altar. Special music was provided by Mr. Thomas Peck, director of the Grant Park Symphony Chorus and professor of voice at the Chicago Conservatory’ College, Chicago and Miss Marion Vincent, student of Mr Peck, Chicago. The organist for the evening was Mr. Ivy Beard. Dr. Randall Hilton, Chicago. Illinois officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivorv silk organza over taffeta, fashioned with an Empire bo’ice of lace, square neckline and elbow length sleeves. The A-line skirt whs highlighted bv a full removeable chapel length train.

A headpiece arranged in lilies of the valley and ivory silk organza held her bouffant butterfly veil of silk illusion. She carried a colonial style bouquet of white sweetheart roses, lilies of the valley and stephanotis. Acting as maid of honor was Miss Patty Jo Ninow, Oak Park. Illinois, college friend of the bride. The bridesmaid was Miss Maureen Donnlley, Chicago, Illinois. Junior bridesmaid for her sister was Miss Nancy Mann, Walkerton, Indiana. The attendants were identical in floor length gowns of olive green silk crepe styled with elbow length sleeves and a flowing A-line skirt. The Empire bodice was accented with yellow dasies. They wore short veils of olive green silk illusion held in place bv a headpiece of lilies of the valley and silk organza. They carried colonial style bouquets of white daisies with yellow centers. The best man was Mr. Thomas Peck, Chicago. Groomsmen were Dave Houghtlin. Evanston, Illinois and Ivy Beard. Chicago. The ushers were Adam Mann. Jr. Walkerton, brother of the bride
and Chris Barnes Evanston, brother of the bridegroom. Miss Jennifer Barnes Evanston, sister of the bridegroom was in charge of the guestbook. The mother of the bri V chose a sleeveless A-line dress of olive green crepe. She wore a beige veil hat and beige accessories. The mother of the bridegroom wore a sleeveless beige knit with matching accessories. They both wore white orchids. A reception was held in the church social hall imediatelv following the ceremony. Baskets of white carnations, yellow daisies and white gladiolus decorated the tables. The bri ’e is a graduate of Walkerton High School and is presently a piano major at the Chicago Conservatory College. She also teaches piano at the Columbia Music and Dance Center, Park Ridge. Illinois. The bridegroom graduated from Seaside Union High School. Cannon Reach. Oregon. He is majoring in composition and theory at the Chicago Conservatory College. He is also emploved bv Montogomerv Wards. Chicago as a tabulator-computer operator. The voting couple will he at home at 7706 North Hermitage Avenue. Chicago, Illinois. They will both continue their educations this fall at the Conservatory as junior. Overmyer — Holderbaum Mr. and Mrs. Dale A. Holderbaum are on a trip to Wisconsin following their wedding Sunday in North Liberty Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Frost officiating. The bride, the former Miss Suzanne Roberta Overmver. is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Overmver, 26149 Pierce Rd.. North Liberty. Parents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Florence Hol ’erbaum, 64504 State Rd 23, North Liberty, and the late Everett Holderbaum. A gown of white silk organza over taffeta with an Empire bodice. modified scoop neckline, elbow length sleeves and a controlled skirt highlighted by a Watteau train was worn by the bride. Venice lace encircled the b'>dioe. edge I the sleeves and bordered the train Floral appliques <>f lace decorated the gown and the train A plateau of Venice lace and crystal held her bouffant veil, and she carried a orescent botiquet of yellow sweetheart roses. Mrs. Steve Overmyer. New Carlisle. sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Linda Hildebrand, LaPaz; Miss Charlene Krueger, North Übertv, and Mrs, Larry Kane. North Liberty. A niece of the bride. Miss Gretchen Overmyer. New Carlisle. was the flower girl. The attendants wore floor length gowns of yellow linen with modified scoop necklines, Empire bodices, kabuki sleeves and sheath skirts. Matching bows of linen held their bouffant face veils. Serving as best man was Larry Kane. North Liberty. Gordon Clark, North Liberty; Russel Morris, Walkerton, and Alan Lee Shoemaker. South Bend, cousin of the bridegroom, were ushers. J<>n Holderbaum, North Liberty, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer. A reception was held in the church social rooms. Williams — Pehrson Mrs. Sara Williams, RR 2, ,md Harry Pehrson RR 3, both Walkerton, were united in marriage. Sun ’av Sept. 10. in the Bethel Temple Church. South Bend at 230 o’clock. The Rev. Walkerton. chose a two piece street length dn ss of mist blue silk brocade. Her shoulder corsage was a white orchid. The couple was attended by Mrs. James Jacks! of Chwagi who served her grandmother as Matron of Honor ant William Pehrson, Fort Wayne who served as best man for his father. Mrs. Jacksi wore a two piece suit of shell S i]k brocade, highlighted by a deep purple orchid corsage. The four grandsons of the c» uple. Gregg, R<nuw and Randy Williams and Paul Gjemre all of Walkerton served as ushers. A reception folk wed the ceremony in the Church recreation room. Th>- beautiful serving table, appointed with a blue cloth with white net overskirt was centered with a fom tiered wedding cake. Mrs. BF. Williams cut and served the cake, assisted bv Mrs. Carl Giemre Jr. Walkerton and Mrs. William Boscamp of Prospect Heights. 111. who served punch and coffee. Mrs. Boscamp was in charge of the guest book.
