Questions Explain Indiana Selective Service Program Colonel Robert K. Custer, State Director of the Indiana Selective Service System, announced today that in older to create a greater public understanding of the laws and regulations governing the induction of personnel into the Aimed Forces, periodic releases will be issued setting forth pertinent questions and corresponding answers concerning provisions of the selective service law. Distribution is being made at both the National and State level to assure complete coverage. Question: We have only one son. Can he qualify for the Sole Surviving Son IV-A classification ? To qualify for such classification, you must maintain a bona fide family relationship with the children in your home, however, it may be possible to be deferred in Class UI-A by reason of extreme hardship to dependents. ■ Question: Who establishes the mental, moral and physical standards for entry into the Armed Forces? I * Answer: Mental, moral and physical standards for acceptance are prescribed by the Secretary of Defense. Question. What are the respective areas of responsibility in individual's acceptability ? Answer: Personnel under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense. Qustion: What aye the respective areas of responsibility in connection with induction of personnel into the Armed Forces of the United States? Answer: Congress prescribes the liability; Selective Service System determines availability; and the Department of Defense decides acceptability.

Further consideration will be given the ability of the bidder to make early delivery and the use, if any, of the transport tank for products other than fuel oil. to your physical condition, and especially by working up tho muscles that you plan to use in any repetitious motion outside your normal activity (strengthening your wrist and arm before starting to paint the house, for instance) you can probably keep clear of this common and painful ailment. If you get bursitis, no one need suggest that you see a doctor. The pain is so acut that you will be the first to seek relief. In recent years science has learned much about bursitis, and there is much your doctor can do to relieve the pain and promote healing. One of the mainstays in treatment is a mild pain killer. The newer cortisone-type drugs have been used with some success. Heat treatments also have their place in bursitis thereapy. In extreme cases surgery may be inquired. A treatment long used in this painful ailment is complete rest in bed. Anything that will lesson the chance of the afflicted joint being moved will ease the pain and speed healing. Like any other bearings, your bursae stay trouble-free much longer if you warm them up slowly and let them get fully lubricated before you race the motor. Count to ten — take time to think, and you’ll have very’ little trouble to think of.
