NORTH LIBERTY Mrs. Mary Kocsis of South Bend visited Mrs. Stella Ulrich on Tuesday morning. Mrs. Bert Shupert recently underwent eye surgery in Memorial Hospital. The operation was successful. Sunday dinner guests of Rev. and Mrs. Dean Krieg were Mr. Max Dozell and Jim Crouch of Marion, Ind. The Olive Branch School held their 29th Reunion at Sheneman's Grove, last Thursday. 26 attended. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mamerow and Junior were Thursday guests of the William Heck family at Tippecanoe. Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Dutcher were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pontius of Koontz Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tribbey of Lakeville. George Close was the guest of honor at a birthday dinner Sunday, given by Mrs Close. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Arthur Close and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Close and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Close and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Allbright and Brian have returned home after a one weeks vacation in Maryland visiting P.F.C. Allen Albright. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gordon and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rauen and family attended the wedding of Raymond Crane and Juanita Falls at Valparaiso on Saturday. Robbie Pedzinski and his baby sister Robin of Mishawaka spent last week end with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clingenpeel. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Mamerow and Junior attended the Mamerow reunion, Sunday, at Stuntz Pine Forrest, near Walkerton. About 70 attended the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Fred DeCoudres visited relatives Tuesday and Wednesday morning in Sullivan and Greysville, Indiana. Wednesday afternoon they visited Rev. and Mrs. Hamilton R. Burton at the Methodist Home in Franklin, Indiana. They also visited relatives in and around Yorktown. Mrs. Myrtle Donathen attended a relatives get-together at the home of Miss Belle Smith in Mishawaka, Friday afternoon. Others who attended included Mrs. Effie Jenner of San Francisco, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Harvey and children, Susan and Jonathen of Avilla, Ind., Ray Brechill, Garrett, Ind., Mrs. Larue Donathen and Ruth Kelver.

North Liberty died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home after an illness of two weeks. He was a r etired farmei, He was born on July 26, 1896 in Lakeville and had lived in St. Jo seph County all of his life. Surviving are two brothers, Edward and Clem Lightfoot, both of North Liberty: four nieces a> d four nephews.
