Same Two Still Lead 4th Os July Contest Elaine Knowlton uni Lin'»* Snyder, the two top girls in list week's balloting for the Miss Fourth of July Contest, listed in alphabetical order, are still leading the ten contestants heading into the final week of voting. The canisters will be displayed through July 4th for the public to support the giil of their choice. The naming of the queen w^ll be made at the Teen Dance on th Fourth of July, to be held at the tennis courts on Washington Street. The complete list of candidates and their sponsoring organizations are: Elaine Knowlton. American Legion Auxiliary; Linda Snyder, DeMolay; Cindy Martin. Worthy Matron Mrs. James Verkier welcomed Mrs. Mae Sills of Hobart. Ind., a member of Walkerton chapter; Mis. Mary Griffen of Orient chapter. LaPorte; and Mrs. Arthur McEwan a member of Valley chapter, South Bend, now residing in Post Chariette, Florida. PU Schools Summer Band Program The Summer band program for the Polk - Lincoln - Johnson School Corporation begins July 5, 1967. The schedule is as - follows: s Sixth grade brass players will El meet from 8:00 to 9:00 on Mon- E day. Wednesday, an J Friday. S Sixth grade woodwind players = will meet from 8:00 to 9:00 on - Tuesday and Thursday. A sixth ~ grade percussion class will be - held from 9:00 to 10:00 on M-m- E day, Wednesday, and Friday E From 10:00 to 10:30 on Tues- = days and Thursdays, Seventh E and Eighth grade woodwind E players will meet. Junior Band (combined percussion, brass, and woodwind) will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30. From 11:30 to 12:00 noon.
