Walkerton Plans Extended Fireworks For The Fourth Th Committee in charge of the Walkerton Fourth of July program has announced that another big year is expected, with plans reaching the final stage now. 1 lie < mphasis this year will be on a much bigger and better display < t fireworks after a rather disappointing show last year. The committee, formed by representatives of the Walkerton Lions Club, the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce and the American Lgion Post 189. have made some changes to help bring this abc nt. Due to insuranee r-asons last year, the aerial display was set off from the Little League Park, which took much from this annual event. This year, it will be back in the park proper with over twice as many fireworks being planned for the display. A change in companies and a considerably larger amount of money will provide for thb better display which is oheduled this year for 9:30 prompt. The day again will be filled with various activities although it looks like once again the popular b dl -en ascension and parachute drop will not be h* 11 due t< the fact a n-w balloon isn’t ready for u>e by the Claude E. Schaffer group. The I'll ago Amu. em -nt ■ will again h> in Walkerton to provide the midway entering in the west end of the park. They will s- t up before the Fourth and run that entire week through Saturday night. PLJ Board Names Principal For Urey Junior High Q ’ • r Ip v ■■ $ -* ®a • * i •• c - -s-A.
