Mrs. Frank Albert was the Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs Walter Worthington Sunday afternoon they visited Mrs. Mrxlle Bollinger in Walkerton. Mrs Arno Reed has returned from Houston. Texas after taking •are of her daughter Mrs. Robert Lister, who is recovering from surgery. Marti Rudynski was the guest of honor at a reception. Mrs Gertrudi- Sousley and Mr. and Mrs. Amo Reed attended the ground breaking services for the Brethem Home in Flora. Indiana on Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs. Fred De Coudres and Mrs. Jessae Cushman were quests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mains and family in Homer, Michigan on Friday. Mrs. Lauello Grunmes returned with them for a visit. Max Steele. Carol and Nancy attended a reception in honor of Linda Mikel, who graduated from Valporaiso University, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mikel in South Bend, Sunday evening. Mrs. Esther Harman attended the Graduation of her granddaughter. Glonda Kay Whiteleather of Central High. Wednesday evening, and open house Sunday at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Whiteleather in South Bend.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rauen and Aaron and Mr, and Mrs. Charles Gordon visited in the Iruin Rauen home in Wanatah, Sunday^-. Mrs. D. A.' Pearse * spent a couple of days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Glover in Warsaw. Mr. and Mrs. William Doan and family have returned to their home in Louisville, Ken-^ tucky. Dawne Rauen accompanied them and will stay for one week. ORDINANCE No. I - 1967 An ORDINANCE to prohibit and abate certain nuisances and providing for penalties for violation thereof and taxing cost of abatement against property owners. BE IT ORDAINED AND RESOLVED by the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of North Liberty, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, as follows: Section 1. The permitting, maintaining, keeping or accumulating of trash, garbage, refuse, junk or wrecked, damaged, obsolete or unusable machinery, equipment, appliances or motor vehicles on any lot or yard in the Town Limits of North Liberty, Indiana in the open and not in an enclosure or receptacle by any owner or person in possession of or occupying real estate in the Town of North Liberty, shall be and is declared to be a public nuisance. Section 2. Any person who maintains a nuisance prohibited by the provisions of this Ordinance at the effective date thereof shall have ten (10) days after the time of taking effect of this Ordinance to voluntarily abate such nuisance. Section 3. Any person who is in violation of this Ordinance shall cause such nuisance to be removed or abated within ten (101 days after such nuisance is called to his attention by the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of North Liberty, or the Town Marshall. Section 4. The Town Board of the Town of North Liberty and their authorized officers may cause the abatement or removal of any nuisance wßj<_h exists in violation of this Or-

dinance and the expense of the abatement or removal of the nuisance shall be charged against the owner of the real estate on which the nuisance exists on the tax duplicate. Section 5. Any person who fails or refuses to remove or abate a nuisance in violation of the provisions of this Ordinance after being notified thereof by the Town Board ol Trustees, or the Town Marshal, of North Liberty shall pay a penalty of not less than SI.OO nor more than SIO.OO. Section 6. Each day a person remains in violation of the provisions of this Ordinance shall constitute a separate and distinct offense. Adopted this 7 day of June 1967. Eskridge Clerk - Treasurer Airline Service Inaugurated At Elkhart Airport The first scheduled airline service in Elkhart. Indiana launched Monday, June 12, when Commuter Airlines inaugurated a route between Elkhart Municipal Airport and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Commuter will operate three round trips a day Monday through Friday with planes leaving Elkhart at 7:30 a.m., 3:00 pin. and 5:00 p.m. for the fast 35-minute trip. On the return trip, flights will leave Chicago at 9:30 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. No flights are scheduled for Saturday. and the two afternoon round trips will operate on Sunday.

U. S. ARMY. VIETNAM (AHTNCt -- Army Private First Class Gene D. Eaglebarger, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orean R. Eaglebarger. 66253 Road 23, North Liberty, Ind., was assigned to the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam. May 28. Eaglebarger. assigned with the Ist Battalion of the division s 11th Artillery, entered the Army in December 1966 and was last assigned at Ft. Sill, Okla. He attended North Liberty High School. Prayer probably would be more effective if so maty didn't pray with their fingers crossed.
