Dyer — Creed The United Methodist Church, Walkerton, was the setting for the marriage of Miss Pamela Margene Dyer and Gerald C. Creed Jr, Rev. Harold Williams performed the 2 p.m. Saturday ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. France G. Dyer, 327 Hickory St., Walkerton. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Creed. Rt. 2, Walkerton, are the pamts of the bridegroom. Attending the bride were Miss Danna Stephenson of Walkerton, maid of honor and Miss Marge Lee of Walkerton, the bridesmaid. David Shirk of Walkerton was the best man. Keith Dyer, brother of the bride; Samuel Bonifacius of Walkrton; David and Mark Tincher of LaPorte, were the ushers. The bride wore a floor length gown of organza over taffeta with a scalloped neckline, tea cup sleeves, and an A-line skirt. The bodice and skirt were enhanced with lace appliques and seed pearls. Biggins, Snyder Lead In 4th Queen Contest In tiie Tii-Kappa’s Miss Fourth of July Contest, after one full Week of voting, the two top girls, listed in alphabetical order, who are leading are: Ann Biggins and Linda Snyder, Ann is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Linda by the DeMolay. Voting will continue through the Fourth of July when a Dance will be held in the early evening hours at which time the winner will be announced. The girl with the most votes, at a penny a vote, will receive a sports wordrobe valued at $50.00 and the club sponsoring the contest will receive $25.00 for their treasury. The leading girls will be listed every week until the fourth. Voting can be done simply by putting money in the canister with each individuals name and picture located in Jacob Drugs, Dave & Ray’s and Day’s Grocery” at Tyner. All proceeds will go in the Tri Kappa's Scholarship fund as they present scholarships every year to seniors in the local school system. Better Homes Club To Tour In South Bend Tentative plans have been made for the South Bend tour by the Better Homes Extension Club for Thursday, June 29. The group will begin with a visit to WSBTTV Homemakers Time followed by a tour of Goodwill Industries. Luncheon will be at the Tribune Cafeteria followed by a tour of the building and see the presses roll. Final verification of the date will be on next Monday when WSBT-TV tour reservations will complete the plans. The tour of Claeys Candy Co. was not possible due to company policy against tours. The concluding plans of the afternoon will be to visit the home of a white homemaker now preserved in South Bend. Those able to go are asked to call Mrs. Harry Malstaff, trip chairman. 4-H Club News Captain Raymond K. Walmoth, Horsemanship Instructor at Culver Military Academy, was the guest at the Lincoln Township 4-H Horse and Pony Club meeting Monday night. Captain Walmoth instructed 4-H'ers from Lincoln and Liberty and Bremen Townships at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wray and daughter Virgina, adult 1 eaders for the Lincoln Twp. Horse and Pony Club. Captain Walmoth taught the 4-Hers the basics of jumping and English saddle riding. He had an experienced English rider demonstrate various techniques of learning to ride English. Pressent were about 40 club members from Liberty and Lincoln and five from Bremen who demonstrated jumping techniques besides about ten parents also present . The marriage of Miss Janet Irene McEnderfer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert McEndarfer, North Liberty, to Richard Charles Forrest, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Forrest. son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Forrest, Clarksville, <>ok place at 11 a m. Saturday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Walkerton. Rev. Anthony Letko officiated at the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of white peau de sole fashioned with a modified scoop neckline and a flowing A-line skirt. Bands of alencon lace edged above the elbow sleeves and encircled the fitted Empire bodice. Two bands of lace enhanced the center of the skirt and the hemline. A-de-tachable chapel train accented the skirt. The bride wore a floor-length mantilla edged with Alencon lace and lace appliques, and carried a cluster of white glamellias.
