Mrs. Alice Riack spent last week in Chicago with her sister, Mrs. Edna Prochnow. Sunday afternoon callers of Mrs. Fred Shultz were hei nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Knoll of North LaPorte. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Clemons and Mrs. Adam Mann spent Saturday in Indianapolis visiting their mother. Mrs. Lyda Howard who is a patient in Win«>nia Memorial ^h^n^tal there. A pizza supper preceoea the festivities with a decorated cake and gifts a main attraction. Conducted games and records with dancing were enjoyed. Each guest received a new record as a favor. Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Sk'nner R.R. 1, Walkerton, ente; und recently with a family dinner, honoring a cousin, Mrs. Blanche Rensberger of Santa Ana. Cailf.. who is spending the month of May with relatives and friends in this area. Besides the honor guest other relatives present were; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hostetler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Roy Hahn Sr. and family and Mr. and Mrs Robert Barden and family.

Mrs. Walter Smith gave the devotions. Mrs. C.S. Collins gave the lesson on Cuba. Mr. and Mrs. George Lanphere, R.R. 3 Walkerton had as week end guests, Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Drake of Lake Forest, Illinois. Mrs. Newton Williams suffered an injured foot in a fall in her home, May 13 and will be confined to her home for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Carl DHaney and children of West Lafay^te were week end guests of her parehts, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knowlton Sharon and Gene. Other Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs Jerrj Knowlton and daughters of North Liberty. The Grand Prix was the theme Friday nicht when Mark Malstaff celebrated his 14th birthday with ten young friends at his home. With the tim* Satn^nv, it was an appropriate motif as candy race cars and starter flags u’ere placed about the winding racetrack marking the large Libia cloth. The center piece was a simuled paper tire holding all of the Indianapolis race signal flags with plates, cups and napkins all in racing design.

Mrs. Flovd Beagle of C'earwater, Florida was Friday overnight and Saturday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beagle. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagon, Walkerton, spent Sunday in Chicago visiting with Mr. Hannagons sister, Miss Marjorie Hannagen and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bick. Eddie and Barbara spent Mother's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Oren Conrad and brothers and sisters of Helen Bicks in Rochester. Clarence Rhodebeck was dismissed from the Pine Lake Division hospital where he has been a patient for the past five weeks. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin were Mrs. Bertha Urbin, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryan, Janet, Julie and Jim. Mrs. Loren Goode, R.R. 2, Walkerton entertained the Deborah Circle of the Walkerton United Methodist Church, in her home Tuesday. May 16. at 1:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Hunt had as their houseguests for two weeks, Mrs. Hunt's mother. Mn Viola Emmerson of Lafayette and > ister, Mrs. W.D. Jones of Michigan City. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lorentzen of Manchester, Connecticut have returned to their home after spending several days with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J Daniels.
