Checking, a car is fine. but if a driver would check himself when driving and find out the little habits that they h ve become victim of, they t < uld do a b t more to curbing so mu< h of this needless slaughter on the highways of our country every year. Last year’s figures should be enough to scare anyone, Ovei 55,000 killed in the United States and over 1500 right here in Indiana. These figures are tragic if only one stops to realize that the human error is responsible for almost everyone of these accidents. Get a check and a double cheek . . . the safety check of your vehicle and then the double check <m yourself as a driver.

Tomato Contracts May Be I.et Herr Soon. A representative from the

Packers Brokerage Co., of Indianapolis will be in Walkerton Friday and Saturday to make arrangements for letting tomato contracts among the farmers of the community, according to a telegram received by Austin Yerrick, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, who has been trying to interest the firm in locating a station in Walkerton. The telegram states that the company only wants about 75 acres contracted for the first year. Shoe Shop Change* Hands M. L. Roseberry will move his shoe repair shop and family to Anderson. Indiana, next week, where he will continue to operate his shop. Mr. Roseberry purchased the Electric Shoe Shop here from Chas, Goodrich last August.
