’——— — — U DEATHS Dr. O.M. Nisliet Funeral services for Oliver Martin Nisbet, M.D., 74, of Portland, Ore., who died Wednesday in the Pomona Valley Hospital, Pomona, Calif., were held at 1:30 Pm. Monday in the North Liberty Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Frost officiating. Nisbet was born July 10, 1892, in Oshkosh, Wis„ and married 1, >uis Marguerite Mangus June 14. 1924. She died in 1964. Dr. \isbet practiced 43 years in Portland as a physician surgeon. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward Decker. Clairmont. Calif., and Mrs. Matthias Muller-Henneberg, Palo Alto, Calif.; one brother, John, Tyler Texas; a sister. Miss Alice Nisbet. Dufur, Ore., and a grandhild, Maria Duryea, Clairmont. Calif. Claude Watkins Claude Watkins, 63, of 803 Ohio St.. Walkerton, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday in South Bend St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1904. in Marshall County, and on May 10. 1934, in Kansas City, Mo., he married the former Mae Kessler, who survives. Mr. Watkins was an employee of the Joy Manufacturing Co. of Michigan City, and also was an employee of the Walkerton Police Department. He was a member of the Walkerton Masonic Lodge 619. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Walkerton Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Owen, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Morris Cemetery, Marshall County. Ind. The Nusbaum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. V uuam n. Steele William W, Steele, 87. of Rt. 1, North Liberty, died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday at his home. He was a retired salesman and farmer. Born on Jan. 31, 1880, in Liberty Twp., where he had been a lifetime residents. He was the surviving member of the Phillip David Steele family having been preceeded in death by 5 brothers and one sister. Mr. Steele married Dora Klem on Feb. 34, 1904. in Lincoln Twp. She survives along with two sons, David C. of Mishawaka and Carl of Benton Harbor: a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Holler. of South Beloit, Ill.; six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. A daughter, Mrs.

North Liberty, dud at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after a fourmonth illness. He was born on Nov. 3. 1885, in Bremen, and had lived most of his life in South Bend. His first wife, the former Pearl Manges, died in 1952. He married the former Maude King in 1954. She survives. Center St., North Liberty, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the R.N. Nursing Home, Teegarden. Ind. A retired carpenter, he was bom on Oct. 7, 1884, in Forest, Miss. He had lived here a year, coming from Mississippi. Surviving are four sons, Clarence of North Liberty. Thomas of Houston, Tex., Grover Jr. of
