At the finish of this record setting dash. Shumaker suffered the fracture of his collar bone in a spill on the track. He is lost to the squad for the season. In a meet with New Carlisle, Liberty defeated their opponents by a final 59-41 score. In their only other meet held so far, at La Ville last week, the scores were as follows: Bth grade meet: LaVille 73’ 2 . North Liberty, 26’ 2 ; and 7th grades: LaVille, 48, and North Liberty. 43.

Cub Scout News Cub Scout Pack 337 h* Id their monthly meeting last Thursday night at the Oregon - Davis Elem* ntary School. Ralph Pearish. den chief of Den I led the ( group in the pledge of allegiance and the I^aw of the Pack. Group singing followed and parents were । invited to view the handicraft of all the dens. Plans are b(.*ing made for the pack to attend the 1 Cub Scout Carnival Days at To- । Pe-Ne-Bee Sa >ut Camp, Mic h- ( igan City, during June 19-22 from 9 am. to 3 p in. Registration fee ' for •a< h bov will be $1.50 and I will include meal and craft for . the day. May 13 is the Scout Fun Fair at LaPorte Qounty 1 Fair-grounds from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. I Tickets sales awards will be given । at th** next pack meeting. Den I gave an informative talk on mountains and amazed all । with their active volcano demon- । stration. Den H’s skit brought . much laughter and Den 111 entertained with puppets they had * made. I In the absence of the cub- . mast-*!-, Clint* n Bowers presented the badge awards. Wolf badges ' were awarded to Matt Pearish, I Bobby Frame, Mike Keiper, । Kevin .Anderson, and Kenneth Bacewic. Bear badges were awarded to Randy Allen, Bernie I Thompson, Russell Bacewic. and । Mitch Pearish. Lion badges were . received by Ray Paschen and David Bowers. Kevin Anderson * also received one gold arrow and | one silver arrow for electives . completed. Ralph Pearish received his Den Chief Award. ■ Charles Allen, Bobby Frame, and I David Bowers received their den- | ner bars. Congratulations were : extended to all the boys for their fine achievements. The meeting was adjourned | with the boys giving the Cub ( Scout Promise. The next pack meeting will be May 25 at the Grovertown High School Gym.
