Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burch spent the week end in Chicago visiting with relatives of hers, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Berg. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zeschke and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Weeks and family. Word was received this past week of the illness of a former Koontz Lake residence, Mrs. Lillie Carlson in her home at Woodland Hills. California. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dawson and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Good ,4 North Dakota spent from Wednesday to Monday visiting Mrs. Marj Gordon and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Good. Mrs. Robert Ervin of Marion was a MTsinesdax visitor of her mother, Mrs. Gordon. Miss Adlaide Millard was guest at a surprise birthday party last Wednesday. Present to help her celebrate were. Mrs Grace Lambert. Mrs. Alberta Fink, Mrs. Alice Millard, Mrs. Anna Bose, Mra. Rosa Beaty, Mrs. liven Tarlton all of Walkerton; Mrs. Dorothy Ruff, Tyner; Mrs. Inez K ngle, Argos and Mrs. Audrey Mishler. Culver. Refreshments <>l ice cr-am and cake was sens'd. Mr. and Mrs. J. Pokagon and son, Johnny were Saturday and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Stuntz. Hours were spent just talking. They told so much about their way of life. The Stuntz’s took them to many historical places, such as the hills and around Mnxinkuckee. Twin Lakes, where th*' Pokagons originated from Chief Menominee Memorial, the site of the old church where Mr. Pokagon’s groat grandmother lived and fled frcm the trail of death and the approximate place where she gave birth to Pokagon s grandmother, Tonidaw in a hollow scycamorc tree north west of Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. t.e Cover spent the week end m Madison. Indiana. Mrs. Nora Hahn will entertain th»> Fellowship Clat -of the tint*‘d Methodist church in her home Friday night with Mrs. Roy Hostetter as assisting hostess. Mr. and Mrs. W A Owen and Mr. William Wilkes of Indianapolis spent the week end visiting their families. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Fenstennacher and Rev. and Mrs. David Owen. Mrs. Olive Farrar, a teacher in the Elementary school is in the home of her son. R. Budman Farrar, 525 E. Eckman St., South Bend, nsting, following a reoccurance of leg vein trouble she has previously experienced. Mrs. Martha Young had hei brother, Louis Ehrhardt from Charlestown, Indiana for a weeks visit. Also present Sunday was her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jungerman of Gary ami Mrs. Thomas Youdbulis and family.
