Speaker For Koontz Lake United Missionary Church 4^ V Rev. Vern Granger, pastor of the Bethany United Missionary Church, Elkhart, will be guest speaker during a series of special services to be held at thr KoorfLz Lake United Missionary Church April 9 through 16, 7:00 p.m. each evening. Rev. Granger who has preached in over 300 churches has also served four years as instructor on the faculty of Prarie Bible Institute, Alberta Canada. He has had 3 years of experience as a skid row mission and social worker in Detroit plus serving as director of the Gull Lake Bible Camp and more recently the United Mfsrinnary Youth Camp. Rev. Granger has been in the pastorate eight yvais and speaka from a sincere concern and Imt for people. Spi'cial music is planned for theae services. Gospel teams, vocal and inatnimental talent from the Bethany Church as well as from the local church will be used. The public is invited to these services. Good Crowd Enjoys Fashion Show Monday More than 300 persons were present Monday night to view the fashions modeled by more than 60 pers^ma in the Sixth annual Fabric and Fashion Show by the Better Homes Extension Club. A lovely and varied selection of clothes had been made from fabrics from the MGM Fabric Shop, LaPorte. Casual wear to glamorous formals were included as well as colorful square dance clothes by members of the Dixie Walker Square Dance Club. Entertainment included several dances by the Club and singing by the Glinn Tones directed by Mrs. George Robinson. Door prizes were awarded to George Warner, Mrs. Ann Biasics, Lynn Collings, Mrs. Eugene Hewitt, Marjorie Weller, Beulah Price, Barbara Steinke and Mrs. B. Lichtenbarger. Punch, coffee and cookies were served to the guests as they were seated at tables, each centered with huge hand made crepe paper blossoms from Mexico City, Mexico. The stage was lovely with lattice work draped with colorful bolts of fabrics. David Welch Selected To _ Youth Group Word was received here last week that David Welch, 16 year old aon of Mr. and Mrs. Iceland Welch has been m'lected as one of the 18 youths to aerve on t7ie South Bend District Youth Mission Team who will spend five weeks among the Navajo Indians of the Bisti Community Center, Farmington, New Mexico beginning the first part of July.
