Mrs. Mutchler will visit her sister, Mrs. Millard Heim in St. Petersburg; Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Wolff will visit Mr. and Mrs. Roy Roelke at Fort Lauderdale. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masterman were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shultz and children of Indianapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Masterman and son of Elkhart and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Masterman and son. Afternoon visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Foeckler and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Heckaman of Nappanee. BRIDAL SHOWER Mrs. Walter Pickavet and daughters L\nn and Doris Ann were hostesses to a bridal showei party Tuesday evening March 28 at the Pickavet home, honoring Miss Dora Hayter. New Carlisle, whose approaching marriage to Douglass Daniels, will take place April 8, in the Presbyterian Church. Buchanan. Michigan. Mr. Daniels is the brother and uncle of the hostesses. Mr. Daniels the son of Mr. and Mrs. Verne Daniels, formally of Koontz Like and Mishawaka, now residing in Deeauter, Michigan i> well known in the Koontz Like and Walkerton area. He is Assistant Manger of Standard Oil Service Stations on the Toll Road. North. Guests present were from Indianapolis. South B< nd. New Carlisle, Plymouth. Koontz Like, and Walkerton Ind. Also from Deeauter, Grand Rapids. White Pigeon. Michigan. Winners in games played during the evening were awarded to: Mrs. Woodward Cochran. Walkerton. Mrs. Vera Lee Strange, Mis. Charles Draim and Mrs. Adell Castro all of South Bend.

Mr. and Mrs. George Ferverda, Koontz Like, returned last Sunday from Like Wales, Florida, where they spent the winter months. Mrs. Jay Cotton. Walkerton, is vacationing for six weeks with her daughter and family, Mrs. Jean Hoot on and family in Pahokee, Florida. Mrs. Agnew Ludwig and David, and Mrs. Zelpha Watkins visited friends and relatives in Robinson. Illinois, Mooresville and Indianapolis last week. Mr. and Mis. Marion Anderson spent from Thursday to Sunday with then son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Anderson in West Branch. Michigan. Mrs. T A. Randall and children of Indianapolis spent from Wednesday to Saturday with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. David Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Urbin went to Wakai usa Wednesday evening to visit with Dr. and Mrs. John Guttman and family. Amy Lynn was celebrating her 6th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen were host to Sunday dinner, April 2, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams whose wedding anniversary was April 1. Also present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bennett of R.R. 3. Plymouth. Mrs. Ellen Brede, R.R. 3, Walkerton, returned Sunday April 2 from a 3 months tour of the South Pacific and the Orient. Among her visits were: Tahiti, Pago-Pago, Fiji Islands, New Zealland, Australia, Singapore, Thailand. Hong Kong, Philippines. and Honolulu. Mr. King a member of the Mishawaka Barber Shop Chorus Society, known as the “Mishawaka Valley Aires,’’ sings bass in the chorus. The participating district composed of groups in Indiana and Kentucky had th< ir programs and conb st in the Central Catholic High School, Lafayette. Although the Valley Aires were not winners they did enjoy the privilege of presenting their numbers and meeting new and old friends. Chorus winners Were from Muncie, Evansville and Terre Haute. Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman spent last week in Atlanta, Georgia as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Morgan. Mrs. Oscar Barney and Mrs. David Lawrence attended the South Bi nd Symphony Concert last Sunday afternoon at the Morris Civic Auditorium. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kickbush and children spent the Easter vacation with his mother, Mrs. Rena Kickbush in Cattaraugus, New York. Mr. and Mrs. I lean Knowlton, Richaid and Lloyd returned Sunday from a weeks vacation in St. Petersburg. Florida where they visited Mrs. Knowltons brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lisiecki. Tlie suave diplomat was a great storyteller. On a visit to mid-Africa he related a lengthy anecdote. His interpreter turned to the natives, said only four words, and everyone laughed heartily. ■■ ■ I
