Lewis W. and two grandchildren. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 619, Walkerton. Funeral services were held March 30 at Chapel of L ght, Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale, Arizona. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Mrs, Joyce Myers Mrs. Joyce Myers, 40, Keithville. La., formerly of Walkerb n was found beaten to death in the trunk of a car that was partially submerged in quick-sand at a nearby lake at Shreveport, La. The b<»dy was discoverd by a fisherman early Saturday morning. According to reports, the beating and death occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Mrs Mxers lived on Ohio Street in Walkerton for three years before moving to Indianapolis where she lived for about six years. Since moving to Louisiana she has made her home yvith her mother and son. Kenneth. Kenneth is a grandson of Mrs. Fred Myers, 501 Roosevelt Rd., Walkerton. Charles M. Peterson Funeral services for (’ha lies M. Peterson, 93. of Rt. 3. Plymouth, who died at 7:30 a.m, Monday at the R. and N. Nursing Home in Toegarden, were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Nusbaum Fu leral Home, Walkerton. yvith Rev, Kaye Casterline, pastor of Tyner El’B Church, officiating, Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. He was born Jan. 29. 1874, in Sweden and hed lived in the Plymouth community 52 years, moving from Chicago. A retired farmer, he yvas married on Aug, 24. 1903, in Chicago. to Amanda Gusten, yvho died in 1964. Surviving are two sons, John of Rt. 3 Plymouth, and Herman of Rt. 3 Walkerton; a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Hilgeman, of Muskegon, Mich ; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. John Roark Mrs. John (Edith Irene) Roark, 54. Hamlet, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in Starke Memorial hospital. Knox, after being in failing health the past year. She yvas born Sept. 13. 1912 in Copper Hill, Tenn., and came to Hamlet three y< ars ago. Mrs. Roark yvas a member of the Church of God at Loyvellen, Kv. She yvas married March 9. 1935 in Harlan Ky., to John Wilson Roark yvho survives yvith four sons. Bobby, Tommy and Johnny all at home, and Earl of Gary; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Burch Miss Marjorie Roark and Mrs. Betty Sue Burch, all of Gary and Miss Jackie Roark at home; one brother.
