The purpose to discover some of the dilemas of a diverse society, and to understand how ionic of the dilemmas of women in other countries are similar to our own. Mrs Clyde Walz presented the devotions using St. John 1:4, 11, as a theme. The meeting was closed by Mrs Walz with prayer. ENTERTAIN CIRCLE OF METHODIST CHURCH Mrs. Fred Daniels entertained members of the Ruth Circle of the Walkerton United Methodist Church in her home, Tuesday evening, March 21. Mrs. Fritz Skinner gave a most enjoyable lesion on "Moments of Joy". She related much of the joy and happiness derive from the little, common and unexpected things in life. Walkerton OES Serving in the East for then last meeting of the year, Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of Walkerton Chapter ^319 Order of the Eastern Star, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wolenberger. Tuesday evening. March 21. expressed words <>f appreciation for having been given the privelege of serving their chapter. Mrs. Wolfenberger gave a brief summery of the activities of the chapter and special events and visits they made throughout District «20. She reported seven new members were initiated into the local chapter in their year. Announcement was made of a meeting of the Organization made up of all Chapters in District #2O, to bo held in Nappanee on April .8 at 7 p.ru. Election of officers will be held during the business meeting. Proteins tn officers stations Tuesday evening were Mr and Mrs Edward Petersen, and Mrs. Ralph Jackson. Mrs. McCombs contributed to the birthday bank. Before the dosing march, the i etiring Matron and Patron were honored with a clever original skit written by Associaie Matron. Mrs. James Verkier. The Star Point officers spoke verses and presented Mr. and Mrs Wolfenberger with gifts of fun and love. Mr. Wolfenberger was given a floor length silk tie by Mrs. Vcrklor aa she related the happy association she and Mr. Vcrkler had enjoyed the past year as co-officcrs. Mrs. John McCombs singing a parody to "I was aecmg Nellie Home” brought many laughs end applause. Two long tables in the dining room had streamers of green and g Id down center. On each table was a gold mail box mounted on a styrofoam base, one with the name D<p and the other Bette printed on them. A letter was protruding from the slots, enclosed was a message of ‘ Thanks" from the chapter Mr Wolfenberger, being a k»ca] Postal Mail carrier, had on the base of his mall box a miniature baseball and bat reminding him of younger daj’s when baseball was his hobby.
